Cleveland Indians (2011 Season)

This article states the Indians might want to go after a Cub, either Fukudome or Soriano if they eat enough of his salary...
I do not think that the Indians would pick up enough of Soriano's salary for the Cubs to make a deal. I don't know enough about the RF (Fuk...) to remark upon him but he doesn't look like anything special.

I will go on the record and say that I would include Kipnis in a deal for Pence. Kipnis is not a proven MLB player and at least Pence has some sort of a track record. I would not trade any of the young pitchers that have been mentioned.

please. if cleveland offered kipnis, chisenhall and white for pence, houston's GM would probably ejaculate right into the phone as a form of acceptance.

Heck, 2 of them and a borderline projected AA guy he'd do the same thing. But that's not gonna happen either.

i'd give them phelps, mcallister, and weglarz and tell them to suck it because he'll bolt from that trainwreck in 2 years anyway, and that's assuming houston wouldn't dump him in advance to avoid paying his arbitration salary.

Misread my post or bad writing on my part. What I meant was that if we gave away 3 MLB ready players, we might as well just give Houston our entire farm system.

some good news in the minors.......Beau Mills may finally be living up to his potential after appearing to have fallen off the earth after last season

promoted to AAA today after hitting .300 with 11 HRs and 49 RBIs in 61 games with Akron

Yeah I wasn't agreeing with the article that's for sure...Fukudome homered in his first game and has been a mediocre major leaguer with a good outfield arm every since. Soriano is my least favorite player this century. I would hate either acquisition.
