Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

I had a solid 6 hour hangover. I paid the iron price for celebrating that game. But it was worth it.

I don't know if there will be a better sports story in a long time.

Luckily I didn't have a hangover probably because Beerhead was so packed that we were only able to get 5 beers throughout the course of the game. I got home at 2 then was back downtown for work at 7 so it was a pretty rough day of work. Pretty sure half the office didn't show up today. Between Cedar Point yesterday and then a journey from where I parked, to the Q, to the Flats, and back I walked about 14 miles yesterday per my Fitbit. Totally worth it. Pretty sure I high fived half of Cleveland last night.

Today was about the roughest I think I have ever felt during a hangover but simultaneously the most pleasant I have been to be around at work

But I am with you there, what an amazing story. I was watching the game with a group of Cleveland natives that had moved out here to Boise. When that final buzzer sounded, there were tears of joy about everywhere in our group, everyone was hugging in a giant pile. It was about the most surreal sports moment I have ever had and saying that on this forum is a bold statement, but this transcends sports in general imo.

Still just catching up on as much postgame footage as possible because I can't get enough of this shit.

Anyway, while watching the champagne celebration, I couldn't help but notice that while everyone other dude is in there popping bottles to spray it, Mozzy just keeps opening them and chugging them back. The Russian has no time to waste good alcohol. Oh and there's this from back on the court. Burrito time.

I keep trying to put this into some perspective of how big a comeback this was. The Warriors did not lose consecutive games all regular season and through the first two rounds of the playoffs. Aside from a pair of 1-2 stretches in the regular season, they had no winning streak shorter than five games between losses. Keep in mind that after Game 2, GS had beaten the Cavs by an average score of 115-88 over the last three game they played, including the 34-point curb-stomping in Cleveland, and had won a close game before those three to be 4-0 in their previous four games against. After winning Game 4 in Cleveland, they were 5-1 against the Cavs this year.

To think that any team--led by anyone--could win four of five games against the team that had broken the Bulls' "unbeatable" regular season record and had dominated the season series is beyond my comprehension.
