Jesus, this is this thread after a win?
A win over a hot shooting team playing way over their heads at that?
And I'd say Detroit were the mental midgets after their 4th quarter meltdown. The Pistons gave them their best shot and still lost by 5. That has to be mentally draining.

This is a thread with people who have watched this Cavs team all season.
I'd say any team can get that hot shooting the ball against the Cavs "defense." Did you see the "defense" today? In a game that matters?
Detroit lost to the number one seed, on the road, by a mere 5 points, in a close game throughout...they'll probably have a locker room vote to just pack it in...
I think they'll be fine.
Look I get it. The Drive. The Shot. The Browns sucking since returning to the league. But for Cleveland sports to move forward, the pessimism and dwelling on the past has to stop. I'm not talking abut blind optimism, but the cloud of past failures has to move on and the fans can help with that. Get over it.
I'm sure I'll get ridiculed, but deep down you know it's true.
I somewhat agree with this, but I think part of the Cavs strategy this series is trying like hell to make sure Drummond and Jackson don't get theirs, Drummond especially. By selling out on Drummond in the paint, that's going to leave guys open. Coming into game 1, that's a gamble you're willing to take considering Detroit's woes making the 3 this season. Drummond succeeding in the low post is sustainable offense for Detroit. Stats say that them shooting 52% from three point range the remainder of the series is not.Saw that only 1 out of the 29 3-pointers Detroit took was "highly contested." That is the problem. NBA teams can make jumpers when they are open.
So you're saying the Cavs are on track to get blasted in the finals again?People here seem to have real short memories. The Celtics gave the Cavs three very tough, back-and-forth games in the opening round last year too.
Well, if the outcome is already predetermined, I guess those people shouldn't waste their time watching. So you're saying the Cavs are on track to get blasted in the finals again?
I think that's exactly what everyone is expecting and pessimistic about.
I'm not dwelling on Cleveland's past (though that sure is one reason to be cautious with our expectations.) I'm looking at real championship contenders this season. Golden State won their first game by 26. San Antonio is up 30 right now. The Cavs can make it through the east. If you've been watching this team all year (and I'll just assume you have,) then you should know that either of those teams are gonna push the Cavs [Mark May] in.
Also, my believing that, isn't going to be the reason that Cleveland sports doesn't move forward. I have plenty of buddies that are all rah rah for the Cavs. To them, they are some sort of super team with the 3 best players in the league all on one roster. They think that the regular season games don't mean anything and don't help shed a light on how the postseason could possibly play out. They think that the Cavs will just magically be an awesome team that we haven't seen yet now that the playoffs have started. But they aren't helping Cleveland sports move forward. They're just fucking retarded.
