Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

No, there aren't. There are two and they both play in the Western Conference.

It's ok to root for the Cavs and be realistic at the same time. Below are all teams the Cavs either lost the season series to or split with...

Eastern Conference (Cavs record against)

Bulls 1-2
*Pistons 1-2
*Heat 1-2
*Raptors 1-2
Wizards 2-2

Western Conference

*Golden State 0-2
*Houston 1-1
*Memphis 1-1
New Orleans 1-1
*Portland 1-1
*San Antonio 1-1
Utah 1-1

* indicates playoff team

The Cavs went 1-2 vs four eastern teams and one of those didn't even make the playoffs. That, to me, would indicate teams who have a legitimate shot at beating the Cavs in the playoffs. Whether they do or not, is a different story but to just write those teams off is to stick your head in the sand. There are a lot more than the two western teams you mention who can give the Cavs a run for their money.

I don't really care about records against teams in the regular season. That's such a narrow way of looking at things. You need to take into account when the games were played (i.e. second night of a back-to-back, end of a long road trip, injuries, etc). In the playoffs, there are one to two days off between every game. With teams having the opportunity to rest and make adjustments accordingly, it's going to give the Cavs a major advantage due to their surplus of talent as compared to the rest of the East.

So, I remain steadfast in my belief that the only teams that pose a legitimate threat in eliminating the Cavs from the postseason are the Warriors and Spurs. If I'm wrong, I'll eat my crow and move on.

Fair enough. I will continue to believe that the run through the playoffs will be more difficult than just sweeps and 4-1 series'. However, just like you, I will eat my crow and move on if I'm wrong. I'd love to be wrong and see the Cavs raise the trophy but even if they make it out of the East, I don't see any chance they take out the West champ.

Fucking Heat blow the second half and let the Celtics have the 5th seed. Not really worried about the Cavs making it to the Eastern Finals since they swept the Hawks and Celtics in the playoffs last year. Would like to avoid the Celtics thug ball. At least we only have to worry about one of the Raptors, Heat, and Pacers.

Not that I care what he thinks of LeBron, but with all the announce teams, why have one of the coach's brothers calling the game? He is basically spending all game rooting for Detroit. At least he is up front about it, I guess, but why have him call the game?

Lmao! Think about it. Its like when they have Mark Jackson call all them Warriors games.... I think that's foul to then tenth power.

This is a team full of pussies. I'm sure they'll limp past Detroit, but it won't shock me if this goes 6 or even 7 games. I give them about a .000000002% chance of winning a title, which given what they did to build this "team", should absolutely be the goal.

They won't win and after the season they'll do what Cleveland teams always seem to do...rebuild. It's an endless cycle in that fucking city.
