Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Kyrie is a mess right now.. mentally, emotionally, physically

Starting to seriously doubt Kevin Love... may have been all-world for a team that was horrible
but in meaningful minutes and when it's on the line in important games... MIA

In fact, sometimes, downright harmful.. missing shots at critical times and bad defense.. he let's teams back in it

James..&..Love..&..Irving....the BIG THREE?.

Yeah, in unfortunate reality it is that is actually the BIG ONE and Little Two.

Umm, so for all the oddball stuff LeBron has done the last month he's kind of turned the switch to beast/playoff mode.

Last 10 games:
27.1 pts
8.7 ast
8.0 reb
.564 FG%
I've always kind of held an unconventional thought with regards to LeBron and some of the distractions he pulls. I think he does it to put the focus/pressure/scrutiny on himself because he knows he can handle it now and it loosens the team.

Either way, he's still the best in the game when he steps on the court with his maximum intensity as he does this time of year. Cavs still won't win because they're a bunch of mental midgets in the end, but still...he's the best.

I'm stuck between wanting to see the Cavs blow the doors off the next 4 teams on the schedule and make sure everyone is rested and healthy for the playoffs. If it was up to me I might rest guys tonight against Indy to help keep them out of the 8th seed and I'd rest everyone against the Pistons in the last game. They need to beat the Bulls one time to keep them out of the playoffs and a win against the Hawks will knock them down to the 4-5 seed where the Cavs would see them in the second round. I'm not worried since the Cavs have their number. Worst case scenario playoff opponents would be Bulls, Heat, Raptors, but I'd like to avoid the Celtics and Pacers as well. I think Boston makes it up to the 3 seed, but Miami will be the 4 or 5 so we would need the Hawks to beat them. Give me the Pistons, Hawks, and then whoever survives from the Raptors, Celtics, and Pacers.

I don't really give a damn who the Cavs play in the East. Playoffs are a different animal and the Heat are the only team whose core players know what it takes to make a deep run.

Raptors - core has yet to make it out of the first round
Hawks - swept a better iteration of their team just last season; 2-0 against them this season
Celtics - core has yet to win a playoff game; no true star player
Heat - see above; even still, Bosh is out the rest of the year and I don't think they shoot well enough from outside to beat the Cavs
Hornets - first playoff series together; no true star player
Pacers - only Paul George remains from their great 3 year run; not enough talent
Pistons - SVG is a great coach, but they're too young and inexperienced
Bulls - LOL

Maybe the Cavs drop a game or two in the first couple rounds and make us sweat a little in the ECF, but it's nothing I'm too concerned about. They'll win the East.

Pretty much agree with this. I think the Celtics pose the biggest threat in the East.

Coast through the East and pray to God someone pulls off a miracle upset of Golden State. That's the best possible outcome.

Maybe its just wishful thinking, but..
GS seems to be wearing down.
I think the constant pressure of being perfect every single game will leave them more fatigued in the playoffs than any other team.
I also invision another Draymond meltdown when they lose a couple against the Spurs.

Miami was a great team the final year Lebron was there. I seen the Spurs squeeze the life out of that team in the finals like a Boa constrictor.
They were defeated long before the games were over. I specifically remember relishing the lifeless malaise Miami was playing with.

That being said. I predict a Cavs/Spurs finals matchup, and the Spurs crushing the life out of us.
But we still have a punchers shot! This team is capable of taking either GS or SAS to 6 or 7 games.

GS going for the wins record may cost them in June. They've been playing full speed for several months now. Not sure if that's enough to give the Cavs an edge, though.

As far as the East, I think Boston and Toronto are decent. I'd like to avoid Detroit, but ultimately it doesn't matter. Having LeBron on your team is still enough to crush the East.
