LeBron creates a toxic presence in the locker room. Irving and Love aren't playing well, so LeBron unfollows the Cavs on Twitter, subtweets the entire team, and then casually mentions to the media that he'd like to play with Wade, Paul, and Melo. The fact that the Wade may not be in the league for much longer expedites the timeline and puts his current teammates on notice.
That isn't leadership, that's a series of mind games. It does nothing to improve the team.
I agree with what you are saying but it is worth noting that the quote about playing with Wade, Paul, and Melo was from before the all star break. They seemed to be holding on to it for the right moment to release it to the masses for the most publicity.
