Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Why? Cuz the national media thinks so? Love doesn’t talk to the media about this, so in the absent of that the media will go with what makes the best story… ie Love leaving. Like I said previously… Love said he would be the janitor if it brought him a championship. That was before the season. He got a taste for the playoffs and he was fitting in with the Cavs finally. Unless he can go to a contender (find me one with cap space for him???) he is stupid if he doesn’t come back for one more year to #1 try to win a championship and #2 to cash in on the cap explosion after next season to make even more serious bank.

I think this injury makes it MORE likely he comes back next season, as it didn’t allow him to be the goat this playoffs where it could have pushed him out the door. Now the last thing in his mind is he was having fun and he was an important part in those playoff games.

Fuck the national media and what they think. This is what I think. The only way he'll be able to sign a big deal outside of Cleveland is if he's able to show that his shoulder has healed. That means it was time to get the surgery done now to allow the maximum heal time before October (coincidentally the end of his recovery time is October)....

Dellavanova has absolutely sucked offensively in playoffs... looks like nerves have overwhelmed him... big liability so far

Jones.. hello James Jones... where did you go?

With a week to prepare knowing that Love won't be coming back you would hope guys like Jones and Miller would be ready to make some 3's. They've done it in the past so nerves shouldn't be an issue. Delly on the other hand... He isn't exactly an offensive player, but he usually has one good game out of 20.

The biggest problem with Love being out is you need Lebron or Kyrie in the game at all times. That means they are only on the floor together for 30-35 minutes a game. Someone (hopefully Shump) is going to have to step up and hit some open 3's the first couple games or else the Bulls/Bucks will pack the lane and force the Cavs to shoot bad shots.

Well Blatt is certainly going to be under the gun when the second round begins. It will be interesting to see if he gets Lebron and Irving major minutes (close to 40) the first two games in Cleveland in order to win at home or will he try and stick with some sort of rotation where they do not play that many minutes and he risks losing home-court advantage. This will be his first major test of his short NBA coaching career.

Has anyone heard if Brandy Taylore is giving out free blow jobs if the Cavs win the NBA Championship? I know she's washed up and looking for a way to kill time before she hits the BBW circuit. I feel like the men of NE Ohio are on pins and needles waiting for an announcement.

You'd have to ask @BIATCHabutuka he's the only one that has her on speed dial

With a week off everyone should be very well rested...protecting home court advantage is crucial so there's no reason not to play James and Irving most of the game.

I agree they will be rested for the first two games but remember they have to win 4 and I do not know if those guys can play those types of minutes every game.

Lebron averaged around 43 minutes a game in the first round so I don't think the minutes will be a problem as long as they can win. Kyrie was also over 40. I'm sure they all would rather play 48 minutes for 4-5 games than 36 minutes for 7 games.

Well, without Smith, this is how Blatt is gonna have to go at it I think. They'll be off a long rest and the Bulls won't be... so I think the 'sell' there is to say, ok, you guys need to give them 48 minutes of hell the first game (not just James and Irving, everyone)... then the idea of course is hopefully you can do that for 2 games, get Smith back and see where things are. The key really is for Kyrie to give Derrick Rose nowhere to hide... ever, that's gonna be the best path to success with Kevin Love on the floor or not. As much as we're worried about being shorthanded and resting guys, the Bulls may be in worse shape to start, the key is to keep it that way.

Lebron and Kyrie will play at least 40 minutes in the playoffs unless they're in foul trouble or it's a blowout, always have always will while in their prime. Lebron probably averages closer to the mid 40s actually.

The good thing is JR will be supremely rested when he comes back and should be a man on fire.

Andy actually looked pretty good on his workout today. Is he near back as well? I dont know all the information on that one but that would be something for sure.

Mozgov is going to have to be a complete beast and own the paint. The rest of the guys can do enough work to get it done.
