Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Mozgov is the key to the Cavs' improvement.

Yea it was obvious the team was over-relying on Varejao in the beginning, and didn't have a true C once he (inevitably) got injured. But I think he also brings a bit more motivation? energy? I don't know what to call it... but he plays like he'd choke somebody over a game of checkers. That seemed like an element the team was missing.

Wiggins can at least bud into a star and a #1 guy in Minnesota, but it's going to be a long time before they make the playoffs in the West. And Flip Saunders is in charge. So a long, long time.

Yeah. If they don't do a better job than they did with Love they'll be in the same place with Wiggins in 4-5 years. Of course if they had just offered Love a max deal the first chance they could like the Cavs did with Irving we probably wouldn't be having this discussion. I remember people wondering if Kyrie was worth a max deal last summer. The way he's playing he is going to be cheap in a couple years.

I didn't watch the game tonight, but looking at the box score I think Blatt did an excellent job handling substitutions: http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400579010

I would give a few more minutes to Miller, and obviously you swap Smith and Shumpert once Iman is at 100%, but otherwise I'd say he was perfect.

I wouldn't touch the starting lineup with this current streak. But it could be a double edged sword, as Smith's chucking is contained somewhat by being ila starter. Bit the bench needs some firepower

Starting lineup doesn't matter as much. If Smith starts chucking bad shots Shump or Delly will get more minutes. I would think Shump will eventually move into the starting lineup, but unless something changes those 2 are going to split the SG minutes. I think Delly played the whole 4th quarter at SG last night. The only only 2 guys that are a lock to finish the game are Lebron and Kyrie.

The end of the bench really sucks. If the game was 2-3 minutes longer the starters would have had to come back. Mike Miller needs to grow out that girl hair he used to have because all he is good for anymore is as a cheerleader. Doesn't really matter if guys like Miller, Jones, and Haywood suck, but they really need a backup PG because Delly isn't a PG.
