Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

I know right. We already had two bona fide superstars, just really needed a glue guy. Seems we might have found em in JR, Shumpert and Moz but having a young stud like Wiggins right now would be fucking awesome.

No, Love does not look like a top-10 player. I hate that trade more every game.

In fairness, they seem to be just kind of figuring things out, so maybe he can find a role and end up being a big piece, but right now...ugh. Wiggins is playing pretty damn well in Minnesota, and right now I'd rather have him, never mind the future...right now. In fact, it's not close.

Wins and losses are the most important thing, so just keep winning.

Love looks like he is clearly hurting when he's on the court, but I think the All Star break will serve him well.

Despite that, the guy is still averaging 17 and 10. The last front court player to do that for the Cavs was Brad Daugherty twenty-two years ago. I'm going to wait a little while longer before I start pining for Wiggins

I have nothing against Love and I agree that he will get better the second half of the season. I wouldn't be surprised to see him average 20+ and 10 after the break. On the other side of the argument I was willing to wait with Wiggins and see if they could give up less for Love between now and the deadline. If the Wolves were desperate they might have gone for Waiters and Bennett (Although Bennett had a lot more value before the season than he does now). I do like the moves the Cavs have made during the season so I can't give them too hard of a time now that all the pieces seem to be coming together.

therein lies the rub. bennett has shown to be a stiff and waiters is basically killing any sort of value he has with each miserable performance he puts up. it's borderline amazing what the cavs got for waiters as it is. trying to wait out minny for a waiters/bennett deal would have been a total backfire for the cavs. the cavs should be thankful that one team was dumb enough to think it was just cleveland misusing waiters. but then this happened:

I was about to say 9 in a row was impressive, then I noticed Hotlanta has won 18 in a row. I haven't been following much with other sports in high gear, but now as the all star break is coming and football is over, I'll start paying more attention. I didn't realize Atlanta was having the season they were. Wow.

But it's good to see things starting to gel for Cleveland
