Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

I know it's not guaranteed... but to even get a $10M non-guaranteed... implies somewhere along the long he was productive... or somebody thought so
He can't make a shot if he's the only one on the court

well, considering he's not likely to ever make a dime of it, nor was he ever, it doesn't really imply anything other than he will be a trade chip for a team that needs to dump salary in the future.

OK.. so back to my original question and the only thing I really give a shit about...
Has Haywood always sucked this bad?
and implicitly
Is there any chance he will be of ANY use this season

answers:

no, he's always been pretty shitty, but not this bad.
yes, he's used to eat up minutes in blowout games, and if the need ever arises, go in there goon squad style and hack some dudes.

Haywood is just the latest in a long line of tall stiffs that received terrible contracts. Look up any list of "worst contracts in NBA history" and it's littered with 7'0 stiffs who collected insane paychecks for doing nothing after having a handful of good games at some point in their career.

The NBA is notorious for throwing money around at a breakneck pace to undeserving stiffs.

Has Haywood always sucked this bad? How in the hell did he get a $10M contract for 2016?!?!?

It isn't guaranteed so it was probably made knowing that they would never pay it. Just looks good on paper. Works out well for a cap strapped team although the Cavs might be so close the apron that they won't be able to use it. I've heard they might even move him before the deadline for PG help now.

that's great for future... but pretty sure I can beat him in a game to 21... and I don't plan on guarding him... I'll just wait till he misses the bunny or the 3 ft hook shot.. then he'll knock it out of bounds when he rebounds... worthless

They're now tied with the Wizards for the third seed in the East and sit only 2.5 games back of the Raptors for the two seed. Made up a ton of ground the last three weeks.

They've had one of the easiest schedules in the league during this run, but looking at what's left, it doesn't really get any harder. There's a rough stretch at the end of February heading into mid-March, but after that it's smooth sailing. That stretch of games:

2/26 Golden State
2/27 @ Indiana
3/1 @ Houston
3/3 Boston
3/4 @ Toronto
3/6 @ Atlanta
3/7 Phoenix
3/10 @ Dallas
3/12 @ San Antonio

This loss was Kevin Loves fault. 5-8-2 Stat line, and worse on defense.
Its pretty pathetic that Blatt had to take him out of the game at the end of the fourth because the team was better off without him.
When Love isn't taking shots, its clear he looses confidence that he can make shots. Lebron called Love out on that previously, but Love acted like his confidence was fine and what's worse was that Love took No responsibility in this loss.

Love over rotates on help defense then he is too slow getting back to the shooter. His slow ass needs to stick to whoever he thinks he's guarding.
He looses confidence on offense, missing wide open shots, too slow to create space with his body around the rim, constantly looks for contact to throw up a shot but only trying to draw a foul. Its becoming annoying to watch.

Worst of all...Cavs have to pamper Love because he can walk at the end of the season.
/End rant
