Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

All I know is, late in the game with 10 seconds left....who are you guarding? Lebron, Love, Kyrie, Dion....all have been very clutch in the past.

Until Bennett improves, putting him in the trade means nothing. The first rounder will be the equivalent of trading away Shannon Brown. Essentially we are trading Wiggins for Love.

I would have been happy either way as Wiggins gave us another great defender but Love is on another level offensively and is ready, unlike Wiggins. Also, let's not forget....this Kevin Love dude is still only 25, so um...still pretty young!

Title(s) or bust.
well yes this is true, but shouldn't that be the goal for all teams? Would you rather be very good for a 15 year stretch with maybe 1 title, or supremely good for a 5 year stretch and win 3 titles, and then only pretty good the next 10 with zero titles? Obviously that's looking into a crystal ball, but in theory that's what this trade is doing.

Our expectations are through the roof now and it won't be as much fun to watch. That's just my take on it.

EDIT: And I absolutely love Andrew Wiggins.

HELL YES!!!

I just want ONE championship damnit! We were so damn close in '97 with the Indians and that one hurt a ton as we were all but celebrating in that 9th inning.

Terrible deal for the Cavs. Now the pressure is on in Cleveland. Title(s) or bust.

I hate those kind of expectations. Would rather have gone into the season with Lebron and the young guys trying to overachieve.

"Title(s) or bust..." Isn't that the whole point of professional sports?

The pressure is immense just from the presence of LeBron. His teams aren't sneaking up on anybody. It's been that way ever since he single-handedly beat Detroit in the playoffs in his first stint in Cleveland.

I hate that Wiggins was included just from the standpoint that it seems to be an unprecedented haul for a star on an expiring contract. I hate that it seems like the Cavs were seemingly bidding against themselves at one point in the process. I think one way or another it was a price the Cavs should be willing to pay though.

Now, if Love bails after this season, this will be another in a long line of Cleveland sports gaffes. If that happens, just pack up the circus and leave town.
Well yea absolutely. I know Cleveland has a long history of blowing it in sports, but if you don't have 100% assurance that he will resign (probably even an extension lined up shortly after the trade is final), then they are huge idiots.

He'll actually be 30 when the season starts. So even more reason to be in win now mode.

But this team is built so LeBron doesn't have to do anything during the season anymore. This isn't Miami where he had to handle the ball every possesion and then carry Dwayne Wade through the season.

Kyrie can bring the ball up, he can initiate the offense and LeBron can take possessions off while Kyrie and Love work on the other end.

LeBron could play just 30-35 minutes a night and take a few nights off. This will extend his career. In addition in 3-4 years he can play even less and allow Kyrie and Love to carry the team. THAT is the reason he came here. With the young star players on this team LeBron can transition to a lesser superstar in 4-5 years and let Kyrie and Love be 'the guys' and LeBron can be an aging guy still able to win rings.

So while our immediate window is 3 years... Love and Kyrie can extend that window even more if they take their games to the next level through THEIR prime years
