Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

He will be in Minnesota... not shackled by Kyrie and LeBron... I would not be surprised if Waiters scores 20+ per game
Yeah, but guys like John Salmons and Ricky Davis were 20 ppg guys. It's an empty statistic when you don't do a lot else. Waiters coming off the bench to give you 20-25 minutes of scoring is okay on a team like the Cavs. He can have value in that role. But needing him for 30-35 minutes or more, you're probably in trouble.

"We are going to look at everything that makes sense that would make our team better," Taylor told NBA TV. "But we are not going to move a superb player like [Love] without getting equal or more value back."

. So what exactly is the value of a player that is committed to play for your team for exactly one year and then, as everyone knows, will walk away from your team next summer? Something tells me the T-Wolves owner thinks that value is higher than it really is.

Sooner or later, it'll set in that they're acting like dolts. If they don't move him this summer, you'd think they'd have to come to their senses by the deadline. Of course by then, the return will have dropped off even further. I understand they want to send a message to the fans that they aren't mailing it in this season, but they're really being pretty reckless. They're not going to get maximum return on him unless they move him now.

All of that said, if I'm the Cavs, I'm still telling them any deal including Wiggins is a non-starter.

Honestly, I'm in the LJB (not LBJ) camp of saying if Wiggins is what it takes to get him (with a contract extension) then do it, but right, until Golden State throws in Klay Thompson or Boston puts together a more attractive collection of assets (they have a ton of unknown commodities), then right, don't include him. As of now, non starter.

I'd agree that Love probably gives you more of a chance to win NOW. But, to me anyway, the potential of Wiggins long term is just too tantalizing to let go of. If LeBron still has 5-6 great years left (and it's entirely possible given the physical freak he is), you could be looking at one helluva run. Two elite wings trumps one and a good big man in my IMO.
