Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

I hate to say it, but that's more than I ever thought we would see.

At least Bynum is playing for a few different contracts. He has to show enough progress to get the Cavs not to cut him before the second half of this years contract kicks in. He then has to play well enough for them to pick up next years contract. All so he can get a multi-year guaranteed deal after next year. If he gets cut in January he's playing for minimum contracts for the rest of his career.

Definitely true, and he knows it but I think there is about no chance in hell that the Cavs don't keep him around for at least the whole year. There is really no need to rush him to play until he is truly ready to. Continue to bring him along slowly, keep working him back into shape, hope his knees respond to him losing weight and him gaining some trust in them. As long as he can start giving some minutes after the all-star break I will be happy.

Cavs with a good opening night so far. Been holding onto around a 20 point lead since somewhere in the first half. Bennett looks like a giant when you see him by himself, but not so much when he is standing next to other bigs. Be interesting to see if Mike Brown can continue to get good effort on defense. I think this team has enough scorers now that the points will come. They just need to buy into giving 100% on defense.

I think Karasev is going to lead the NBADL in points this year.

Didn't think about that. Leave it to the Cavs to be done with Operation Tank the year the NBA draft gets strong again. This year could be an epic tank fest across the NBA.

I know... figures eh? The years the Cavs suck and tank it is the worst run of drafts in recent NBA history. Thank god we got the one stud from the last 3 years.

But we are one Kyrie injury and the annual Andy injury away from tanking.

as is always the case this time of year. two years ago was going to be a loaded draft class with anthony davis, harrison barnes et. all. it's showing to not be all it was cracked up to be. inevitably, some of these can't miss studs are going to expose their warts on the college court, and that draft class won't have near the firepower it was supposed to have. and even if you do tank, you still aren't guaranteed anything.
