Cleveland Browns (official thread of Masochism 2015)

I wanted Hughes in the 2010 draft but he didn't fall into the 2nd round. Haden was a pretty darn good 1st round pick though. 2nd round was T.J. Ward (not bad) and fricking Hardesty @ 59. The RB with glass knees.

actually, hughes was a total bust with the team that originally drafted him, the colts. it wasn't until he got to buffalo with pettine that he actually did anything.

Keep all your money in your pockets Banner and do not sign any free agents because we can draft so well and we can sign some really good UDFA's and we can wait until next year when we have the most cap space and then we can wait till the year after that.

Sorry. I meant that rebate guy but I do think that Banner made a huge mistake by letting Chip Kelly walk out of the motel room without throwing a ton of money at him and giving him complete control of the personnel roster and decisions. I think we would be far better off.
I'll wait and see how his tear-down-rebuild of the Iggles roster goes before I say that. He's done a solid job coaching the Iggles the past couple of season, but has made some gaffes. Now we'll see how he is as a personnel guy, as he's working to construct their roster in his vision. Gonna be a couple of seasons before we know. The clowns have a metric shit ton of problems, but I don't think Head Football Coach is one of them. I think Pettine is a fine coach. Question is whether the incompetence of his front office derails his tenure.

Easy for you to say because you have the Niners to fall back on… I just cannot find a team to root for after all my years ccheering on my Browns:cry: Whatever happened to Otto Graham and Dante Lavelli when I need them.

These aren't high times to be a Niners fan either. Willis and Smith just retired. They unceremoniously let the best player they've had over the past decade (Gore) leave, and the manchild CEO ran their most successful coach in two decades go to our hated rival. They promoted a yes man to HC, and went bargain-bin on his coaching staff. Frankly, their ownership situation is almost as bad as the clowns. Might be a long few years of NFL fandom for me.
