Cleveland Browns (official thread of Masochism 2015)

dan williams is considered a two down player. giving $8 million per for a guy that at most will be playing 2/3 of your snaps doesn't seem to be wise resource allocation. it's the same reason knighton is complaining that teams are low-balling him. he's viewed the same way, but older, so he therefore isn't getting close to the offers he's expecting.

I'm pretty sure we're all in agreement on that. I was merely illustrating that if given the choice between Knight and Williams, its clearly Williams.

Compared to Lewis?

Actually yes. Here's a sickening stat for you, Thad Lewis had a higher qbr than both mccown or hoyer last year when he got extended playing time.

Besides, people do realize that the 53 man roster doesn't have to be final until August correct? So, Connor Shaw will get ample opportunity to show he can beat out Thad Lewis. It's no different than when Cleveland signed Tyler thigpen and Vince Young last year.

Shaw isn't promising. There's a reason he went undrafted. He was awful in college and played one semi-ok meaningless game. I know clowns fans are desperate for any hope at QB, but Shaw isn't it. He was awful in college, and would be an awful pro.
