Cleveland Browns (official thread of Masochism 2015)

This organization thought drafting Johnny Goodtimes was a good idea. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about their competency, I don't know what to tell ya. Same old clowns.
Ray Farmer will take Gilbert and Manziel with him to the unemployment line...they are here to stay as long as he is.

That whole thing smells like a fluff piece. If Johnny isn't moved in the off-season or used in a trade, I'll be shocked.
Currently, I do not know who would be interested and I do not think that the Browns would just give him away Hard for me to believe that Dansby would say something like that without meaning it. I could see Haden but not Dansby.

Agreed. Considering it has completely contradicted what has come from the mouth of Johnny himself. Whom self admittedly has had problems staying focused, being prepared and such.

Johnny Goodtimes' trade value is probably actually lower than mine right now, and I'm a 37 year old weatherman with a bum foot who hasn't played a down of organized football in 19 years.

There's always some arrogant GM or coach that thinks they can turn a poor QB into something more.

and then we have the Josh Gordon letter where he does admit that he has a beer or two but does not take much personal blame
Josh Gordon: 'I have not smoked marijuana since before I was drafted'

The fuck did I just read?

I can sum up my interpretation: 1) Media and former players who have lived through addiction (Cris Carter) can't be concerned or express concern because they've never formally introduced themselves.

2) How dare the media report and spout information about somebody they don't personally know. "You don't know me, brah" (Philosophy)

3) Despite being banned for almost a full year, you have an admitted "slip" of judgement and go against exactly what you were, under probation, not to do.
Sounds an awful lot like a relapse, Josh. But no, you aren't an addict.

4) More condescending words. A sob story about how he comes from poverty (as if that really means shit) and believes his future is "bright" Which is good to have that type of person belief in one's self.
The issue the kid I hope realizes - he's closer to not playing in the league then he is being a star in the league.

Sadly, this letter proves he doesn't get it. The last couple of paragraphs should have been all he wrote. Claim responsibility, don't even come close to attempt at making excuses, thank your support and get on with doing instead of saying.
Because as it stands, that's all you've done, Josh. You've said you were going to the reward the Browns and the fans for selecting you - but you've done damn near the total opposite.

Unless there are photos of Dansby partying with Manziel and Gordon that he is sitting on.
