Cleveland Browns (official thread of Masochism 2015)

Well, yes, except he had a DUI, so he's on probation. I can drink, you can drink, Johnny Manziel can clearly drink, Josh Gordon can't while he's on probation. Doesn't matter if alcohol is legal, or who is making money on it. There's a lot of reasons to hate the farce that is the NFL front office and it's policies...I just don't agree that this is one.

Should the NFL be acting as probation officers?

Why have we not cut him yet? It's time to move on. I'm tired of this guy not giving a shit about the Browns, its fans, or his career.

How many opportunities do you need?

Between him and Manziel it's like who is going to F up next

Let me admit that before the draft last year I wanted the Browns to take Johnny. Little did I know, or anyone else I think, know about his work ethic. Sumlin must be a poor HC of a college football program if he has a QB that he does not have studied the playbook and just party all the time. I guess if I had a kid with college football skills I would not let them go to Texas A&M while he was still the coach.

Regarding the NFL it is like all professional sports it is just way over the top. When I got scores a touchdown in the NFL, he acts like he just discovered the cure for cancer. These guys make millions of dollars and they can't score a touchdown without making a big celebration and the NFL worries about the youth of today. The NFL and NBA is a joke and we wonder about the youth of today. Bring back the 70s and 80s when it comes to both of these sports.

Did not you know that Haslam and the rest of the front office is having a big powwow someplace to discuss all these matters. I have no idea why they have to have a big get-together out of town to decide the future of Josh Gordon and to a lesser extent Johnny.

No his w̶o̶r̶k̶ party ethic was well known in the NFL and elsewhere. The leaked Patriots scouting report pretty much puts that to rest. As did his promises to tone it down after declaring early, which lasted right up until Draft Day.

Two first round picks last year and what do we do?
Draft two guys (Gilbert and Manziel) who have terrible work ethics :smash:

A few years back we had two first round picks and we take Trent Richardson and Brandon Weeden; both are no longer with the team and considered NFL busts :pissed:

We have two first round picks this year. Will be interesting to see how we screw this one up.

On further review about Josh Gordon, the Browns should not let him go because while he is suspended he will not be paid and will not be allowed at the Browns facility while he is suspended and he will not be able to play professional football for a few more years if he ever cleans up his act.

Pics of Foosball and Gordon (allegedly) getting wasted together are surfacing.

Gordon won't survive the off-season and I'd be willing to bet Johnny doesn't make it passed the draft if any of it is true.

Of course, if the front office ramps up talks with Hoyer's agent, that would say it all.
