Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

With the new charges, couldn't they fire him for cause?
Not sure how that works with NFL cap rules, but strictly in terms of his contract... some good lawyers should be able to void it.

If he committed a new crime since coming to Cleveland, yes, but this is old and I doubt the NFL will punish him again after he already sat out most of 2 years for what he did. I tend not to believe people who only go after money years after the event rather than criminal charges.

Yeah, I've never put much currency in the allegations... "He asked me to be a prostitute and i was horrified, but i went back 3 more times. And then years later decided to claim he assaulted me."

Sounds more like "i took the cash and decided to blackmail him later" to me.

.... but all that aside, still want to be rid of him. Nothing but problems.

Good to see the Browns offfensive line perform like I’ve been used to since ‘99. Also, I get that GM’s rely on a really good to great starting RB, and injuries happen. But most teams in this league have a pretty good backup. The GM has had several years to strengthen the running back situation and hasn’t done so. After Chubb, these RB’s suck!

The problem with Cleveland is the loyalty of the fans. The franchise is worth 4/5 billion dollars. As long as the fans keep filling the seats, the product will remain the same. I remember seeing Detroit and New Orleans fans wear paper sacks over their heads and the stadiums were half empty. Maybe Browns fans should finally do the same. Either force the NFL to step in or force Haslam to sell it.
