Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

I'm not sure they have another choice. Doesn't he still count like $70 million toward their cap the next two full seasons?

They can't get rid of him, but they can bring in another QB or two to challenge him. Nothing like a 70M backup QB. I'm not sure how the insurance on his contract goes if he's never able to come off of IR next year. Perfect situation would be he can't make it back next year then retires before the last year of his contract. I'm sure he has enough money for a lifetime of massages.

He’s not starting qb material. Draft a qb .:.
Makes zero sense to draft a QB in the projected 7 slot….awful QB draft and the team is going to be pretty mediocre for a few years as they get out from Andrew Berry’s catastrophic trade for DeShaun Watson.

Take a positional player, hope you hit on it, and hope they’re a stud in 3-4 years when the franchise is back in a position to un-fuck itself from the Watson deal.

It absolutely makes more sense to roll into next year with minimal expense at QB (combined with what is owed to Watson) than to take a QB in RD 1, ignore the other pressing needs, and throw a rookie QB out there to fail.

No thanks…..QB in RD 1 is an awful idea, IMO.

KC did browns a favor. Exposing Winston.

Because he was absolutely crushing defenses before Sunday.

This. Sanders is the only 1st round worthy QB as of right now. He isn't coming to Cleveland, and you don't want him to either way.

Draft capital is huge, if a trade down from #7 can be had, it should be done. This team needs multiple picks in the top 50-75 at several spots. Unless an incredible talent falls to #7.
