I'm not sure they have another choice. Doesn't he still count like $70 million toward their cap the next two full seasons? From the rumor mill out there it appears they have already promised the starting job back to Watson in 2025.
Deader than dead.
What no wINTSon!The Winston experiment is over. At least for this week. 3rd string QB is getting the start.

I'm not sure I follow - hasn't everyone known that Winston is a slinger that throws a billionty interceptions, plays with a ton of emotion and gives pre game hype speeches that nobody understands - so what exactly did KC expose?KC did browns a favor. Exposing Winston.
Makes zero sense to draft a QB in the projected 7 slot….awful QB draft and the team is going to be pretty mediocre for a few years as they get out from Andrew Berry’s catastrophic trade for DeShaun Watson. He’s not starting qb material. Draft a qb .:.

Take a positional player, hope you hit on it, and hope they’re a stud in 3-4 years when the franchise is back in a position to un-fuck itself from the Watson deal.
It absolutely makes more sense to roll into next year with minimal expense at QB (combined with what is owed to Watson) than to take a QB in RD 1, ignore the other pressing needs, and throw a rookie QB out there to fail.
No thanks…..QB in RD 1 is an awful idea, IMO.
