Is it too early to talk about tanking for Haskins ?

That would be a total Browns move.

Buddy had a great shirt on yesterday: "We almost always almost win"

I know they want to stick with Taylor for the season, but if he can't do anything with 6 turnovers and some lucky breaks on replay reviews I don't see how he makes it to the bye week. On the other hand he got sacked 7 times and probably hit hard at least that many times so it's probably better than getting Mayfield snapped in 2 until they figure out the OL. NO just gave up 48 pts to Ryan Fitzpatrick so if the Browns offense can't muster at least 21 unaided points it might be worth seeing what Mayfield can do week 3. I reserve the right to take that back if the Jets and Raiders look like defensive world beaters tonight.

Anyone else notice how they kicked off every 2 hurry up drive with a draw? One time someone did a study that screens and draws worked well to open a 2 minute drill and Haley never got over it. FYI the draw doesn't work if the defense knows you are going to call it. What I would give for an OC that is actually creative enough to use the talent that the Browns have on offense. I'm far from an offensive genius, but there has to be a way to take what they have and make a somewhat functional offense.

At least the defense does seem to be legit. Fuck everyone that bitched about them drafting Ward rather than Chubb. If only they had started drafting Buckeyes years ago so we wouldn't have an asshat like "Fair Catch" Peppers.

I'm split on this because
a) We really need to stop throwing rookie QBs under the bus and then wondering why we can never develop a decent rookie QB. I wouldn't have picked Mayfield 1 or 4, but that decision was made and he's definitely the most raw of the 3 QBs. The longer he can sit behind a mediocre stand-in like Tyrod, the better. Allen has bust written all over him, so I don't even count that. I expect Darnold to be like a Cutler... for better and worse.
b) I fully expect Mayfield to be a total dud (game doesnt translate to NFL, midget) and the sooner we trade him for another 7th round conditional pick, the sooner we can move on with this fuckup.
c) It's early, but god damn Haskins look like the most obvious NFL QB since Luck right now... and we've dickered it all up by drafting a midget #1 overall a year too early. We missed Lebron.
d) At least Garrett and Ward are looking the part after 1 game. I can always console myself with some hard nosed D even if our O scores 0 points.
