Desmond Harrison - didn't look like he *didn't* belong at least. His issues appear to be more mental than anything else. Also needs to work on lower strength and anchoring vs the bull rush. Of course when you're
going against Heyward who might be the best in the NFL at that, you're going to have some rough moments. But even the UDFA didn't look out of place which is surprising.

Biggest issue is communication and chemistry on how to handle and pass off pressure. But if I'm Hue I'm going to have a pretty long chat with the OC that dialed up one of the more pass happy games of Tyrod's career.
I'm also going to talk about the lack of flanker screens, tunnel screens and designed passes to Duke that replace some of these blitzing linebackers.

Agree with pretty much all of this. Haley gets an "F" for that game. Relying that heavily on Taylor's arm is borderline criminal.

The culture of losing is so ingrained in this franchise I expect them to never turn it around. That said, it’s nice to be undefeated after week one.
It's definitely a step in the right direction. They have more talent on this roster right now than they have at any time since 1999, IMO...which is nuts coming off an 0-16 season. They just need to iron a few things out and they should actually win a handful of games this year.

All that said, I'm sure a rash of crushing injuries is just around the corner.

The other guy, who is going to be in the hall of fame... Was barely 50% with 3 picks, two fumbles lost, and sacked at least 4 times. I agree with the lack of creativity in the passing game... But you can't just run into linebackers that are in full attack mode either. The whole idea isn't to rely on Taylor's arm, but they need to figure out how he can do more. Probably too shitty of a day to know what those things are completely. All in all too many negative yardage plays too.

Notice when we got Hyde going on the zone stretch and the ISO it was working. He would have been 5ypc had we avoided those god damn backside pulls from the gun. I hope and trust Haley sees this and knows that's what you can throw Duke at for 2-3 times a game. Also shocked we didn't see a single fly sweep from Calloway or something to hold the attention of the edge defenders screaming up field.

All in all I think our coaching staff out-thought themselves today. But they need to make it a point to Tyrod, when he gets those 1 on 1 looks downfield, go at them and put it out there. The Steelers were begging him to at one point and he simply refused.
