The few times i saw him i was never overly impressed. He wasn't anything special, but not a total piece of trash like Mingo, Erving, Gilbert, etc.. He was just very "meh" to me.

I think that about sums it up
Shelton never lived up to his first-round status here, and could fare better as a pure nosetackle in Belichick's 3-4 scheme. He started 45 of 46 games here, recording 129 tackles and only 1.5 sacks. He also made very few impact plays, recording to no interceptions, forced fumbles or fumble recoveries. He had one pass broken up.

That 2019 third from the Pats is probably better than what the Browns would have gotten as a compensatory selection if Shelton walked next season.

One name I’ve seen brought up as a replacement in free agency is Dontari Poe who Dorsey had in KC but couldn’t re-sign due to cap restraints.

As long as Allen or Mayfield aren't their top rated QB and they take that QB #1 I think it's safe that they don't get any of them. On the other hand if they think Barkley is a generational back the chance of taking him #1 and hoping their QB falls to #4 their is a decent chance they end up with 2 of the 3. Hopefully they surprise us.

I'm only going off of the game against us, but I'd like to see them use one of those 2nd rounders on Simmie Cobbs Jr. I feel better about WR than I have in a while for the Browns, but they could use another big WR on the outside. Of course if we judged players based on how they played against OSU Mayfield would go #1.

As a Bills fan, I like the trade for both teams, and I hope Tyrod gets to start for you guys this year. He is a totally solid QB and can be as good as the opportunity he gets. Good leader, probably a good mentor for a young QB, just a good all-around dude.

He took a lot of heat from Bills fans (mostly deserved!) but he had a winning record over 3 years and took us to the playoffs. I'm a fan... but I also like that draft pick, since he was getting cut anyway
