I wonder how long Gregg Williams will be around. Might last until they name the new HC but the way those guys tackled in Pittsburgh yesterday he should be packing his bags if that is the way he teaches them to tackle.

I’ll say this about Williams, I think he has a handle on today’s NFL...with the rules being what they are, its all about the turnovers and big plays. The days of forcing punts as the primary goal are over. I don’t think the D is why the team is where it is, at least philosophy-wise.

While I agree with what you stated, my problem with Williams yesterday was that he gave the Pittsburgh QB all the time in the world to throw the ball yesterday. I thought that Williams was known for his aggressiveness and I guess I would have liked for the Browns to have been a little more aggressive with some blitzes. It is pretty difficult to get to Big Ben rushing just 4 guys with that offensive line of Pittsburgh. I do not know maybe we would have gotten burned even more if we had blitzed but I thought it might be worth a try.

For those keeping score at home, the results of the Clowns nine head coaches (including interim Terry Robiskie):

Chris Palmer, 1999-2000: 5-27-0, .156
Butch Davis, 2001-2004: 24-35-0, .407
Terry Robinskie, 2004*: 1-4-0, .200

* - interim following Butch Davis' firing.

So, your top three coaches since this shit show was re-activated are:

Davis- .407
Crennel- .375
Mangini/Pettine- .313

Butch Davis and Romeo F'n Crennel are, statistically, the best two coaches they've had. Holy smokes. :lol:

Only two of nine coaches have won better that 1/3 of their games.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:
