Jimmy G is 26. What QB are they getting with more experience that is better?
What experience does he have QBing a team for a full season? It’s one thing to play some games and show well on a team like NE, it’s another to QB for the Browns.

There have been plenty flash in the pan QBs come through here and leave a shell of what they were/may have been. The Browns have plenty of young QBs who aren’t doing shit and are getting the crap kicked out of them because of what’s around them or lack thereof.

When I talk about a veteran I’m talking someone who’s experienced in reading defenses and getting the team into the right play and making quick decisions. At a minimum some one with 7-8 years in the league who could help mentor the other young QBs.

Certainly the Browns could’ve spared a 2nd round pick for Jimmy, but they have so many needs. I’m not sure getting another relatively young QB is at the top of that the list. Of course they’ll waste another top pick in the up coming draft on Sam Darnold.....

If the story about Hue Jackson wanting Deshaun Watson is true, the Browns wouldn't have to fire me. If I'm him, I'm leaving after the season.

Strangely similar to how Pettine admitted the coaching staff were fans of Carr in the 14' draft. Yet we all know how that went.

Front office and ownership incompetence is the largest issue with the franchise and has been for the longest time now.

If this type of guy was readily available almost every team in the NFL, except for the Browns, would try and trade for that type of quality backup. Those guys are just not readily available unless you are willing to pay a very steep price and the Browns FO have no idea what they are doing.

yes, they do have plenty of needs but they also have plenty of draft choices and that might be one of their problems. You cannot keep bringing in young guys and expect them to play at the same level that guys who had been in the NFL for several years play at.
There were other teams besides the Browns and 49ers who were interested in Jimmy G. before the draft last year but the Patriots were unwilling to let him go. The 49ers will probably have to let Hoyer walk so he probably will end up being Brady's backup.
Darnold might need to stay another year at USC the way he is playing if he expects to be a franchise QB in the NFL.

trust me, if the Browns had acquired Jimmy Garoppolo he'd have ended up looking like Jenny Garofalo. I don't know why anyone thinks ANY Qb is going to look good.. or even competent .. in this clown show of an organization. Yeah, I get it... you gotta try, but.. this thinking that Goff or Wentz or now Garoppolo would be quality QBs playing for the Browns is just ludicrous. Switch Kizer for Watson and Browns fans would be wondering just what the fuck the Browns were thinking not waiting and taking a guy like Kizer later than wasting a high pick on Watson.

FILL THE OTHER FUCKING HOLES GODDAMMIT!

Reported (not sure if accurate) 2nd and 3rd round pick for AJ McCarron? You got to be fucking kidding me. I'm glad it fell through. What the hell is wrong with this FO? I have loved this team since I was a kid. Over forty years, I have watched this team go through some peaks and valleys but nothing like I'm watching now. I know a group of us could put together a competitive team at a fraction of the cost. What a bunch of overpaid useless pieces of shit. Why make a trade at the deadline unless you are getting picks? Again, glad it didn't happen.

What's the point in hoarding picks if you aren't good at picking players with them? Is what I would argue.
