Reported (not sure if accurate) 2nd and 3rd round pick for AJ McCarron? You got to be fucking kidding me. I'm glad it fell through. What the hell is wrong with this FO? I have loved this team since I was a kid. Over forty years, I have watched this team go through some peaks and valleys but nothing like I'm watching now. I know a group of us could put together a competitive team at a fraction of the cost. What a bunch of overpaid useless pieces of [Mark May]. Why make a trade at the deadline unless you are getting picks? Again, glad it didn't happen.
I think this is the most embarrassing part of the story. Not only did they make a national disgrace by failing to complete simple paperwork, it now comes out that they were going to give up a 2nd and 3rd rounder for AJ f'n McCarron.

Would have been better for this to have never happened, instead they double down on the embarrassment.

and the Browns just sit around.

oh they didn't just sit around

They showed the world they were fools for agreeing to a trade like that, then that they were incompetent fools by fucking up the paperwork.

That has to be the most Browns thing ever. Pulled a double negative that ended up being a positive only because they were too incompetent to just simply do something stupid.

I can't stop laughing

Would like to point out that graduating from Harvard doesn't mean you aren't incompetent.

Both a 2nd AND 3rd for McCarron shows this FO shouldn't be involved in personnel decisions at any level.

edit: Hoyer is out there.. #BringHimHome

Pats deal Jimmy Garoppolo to 49ers; likely to sign Brian Hoyer once he's cut

The 49ers have also decided to release veteran quarterback Brian Hoyer, a source told Schefter. Hoyer's release has not officially been announced. Once released by the Niners, Hoyer is expected to sign with the Patriots, barring an unexpected turn, a source told ESPN's Mike Reiss.

If you were Hoyer, which team would you rather play for; the Browns (i.e. dumpster fire) or the Patriots (i.e. Super Bowl contender)?

100% agree, buckeyemania11. Simply saying, the Browns are 0-8, attempt to trade two high picks for McCarron, thinking that's going to make your season a success? Really I get more entertainment watching the Browns front office screw up the draft than watching one of their games. It's beyond pathetic. You think there would be a rock bottom but it seems the Browns have hit a bottomless pit.
