Cleveland Browns (2016 thread of unrelenting dumpster conflagration)

Stuff like this happens when you draft idiots. This kid had an...um...checkered past. It takes a certain kind of person to get dismissed from an SEC school.

He was dismissed from Georgia under Richt. That's the most un-SEC school there was. I have a feeling he would have been able to cling to a roster spot just about anywhere else in the SEC because, you know, SEC.

Isaiah Crowell apologizes for social post, offers game check

Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell apologized for his social media reaction to last week's killing of two black men by police and has pledged a game check to a Dallas police organization.

Crowell said Tuesday that he made an "extremely poor decision" when he posted a drawing that graphically showed a hooded individual putting what looks like a machete into the throat of a police officer.

One game check for Crowell is worth $35,294.

Well, as far as canned apologies go, that really wasn't a bad one.

He's giving up a game check and also called the Cleveland Chief of Police to apologize. I get that it was a cockwhistle thing to do, but as contrition goes, he seems to have some. I hope he is given the opportunity to move forward, given how many opportunities Johnny Fuckface got when it was obvious to anyone with 3 brain cells that he would never move forward.

Isiah certainly has an interesting relationship with law enforcement officials...

As a general rule of thumb, mistakes with unintended consequences or no fore-thought are forgiveable.

It's when you plan, prepare, calculate and have knowledge of your deeds ahead of time... I personally cannot find forgiveness in my heart for those situations.
