Sorta surprised to see Hartline get released...no guarantee all the kids will work out, and a veteran presence can't hurt. Oh well.

Becoming very obvious.. this will be an "all-business" front office.. nothing emotional... will be a revolving door of players because there will be no loyalty from the front office
Won't be any team love... merely doing a job for the paycheck... not sure how that plays out... vs the camaraderie some winning teams are known for

Not sure I like the 'cold' approach... even if, somehow, they win... will they be a fun group of players we can rally around

this is quite the extrapolation based on releasing a 30 year old wr who did nothing last year and was slotted to be paid far more than he's worth this year.

Well to be fair, these are players not brought in by these guys. Now, if they are doing the same things in 2-3 years to alternate captains or veterans that they they have drafted or signed, then I think that will be more evidence to make such an assertion. Right now, it's just fire sale time to get rid of all the non-analytic guys.

I am not going to into the politics of it, because that probably belongs in in the political threads, but I would release Crowell. He will never be a Browns fan favorite.
