Cleveland Browns (2016 thread of unrelenting dumpster conflagration)

I'm fine letting Benjamin go... but why extend Bowe for the same amount on the same day?
That's just bad business. If you were gonna overpay a WR $6mil this year... who would you pick? Benjamin or Bowe? It's not even close.
It just goes along with the fact that the FO of the Browns does not give a shIT about the fan base. They could have re-signed Schwartz and Mack pretty cheaply for the quality of player that they were for the Browns. Letting Benjamin go for all he did for the Browns over the years for the money that he wanted was just another stupid move.

57% of polled Ohioans think Ohio State would beat the Browns
By Matt Brown

Given Ohio's critical place on the political primary calendar, there has been no shortage of pollsters asking what Ohioans think about the biggest issues of the day. But deep down inside a recent report that primarily focused on Ohio's competitive Senate race, one pollster thought to ask a question that everybody really wants to know. And the answer is surprising!

Public Policy Polling asked 1,248 Ohio voters who would win in a hypothetical matchup, the Ohio State Buckeyes, or the Cleveland Browns. 57% of the respondents picked the Buckeyes, with 23% picking the Browns, and another 19% saying they weren't sure.

Look, virtually everybody on Ohio State's defense last year will eventually be an NFL Draft Pick, and you don't need to remind me that the Browns stink, but this seems to me like it's probablymore about Cleveland Browns fans looking for a fun, new way to vet their frustration than earnestly thinking they'd lose to a college team. But maybe not.

I've always laughed when people said shit like 'USC or Alabama or Miami is sooo good they would beat so-and-so terrible NFL team'. I still laugh at that.

BUT, if there were an NFL team that I could see losing to a college team, it would be the Browns because, well, the Browns.
