Cleveland Browns (2014 Season)

It's very clear that new coaches won't get hired unless they give consent to the guys put into place by Haslem's regime. that might work in the business world, but it rarely if ever does in pro sports. Usually the head coach is allowed to build his staff with guys he wants on it - not the owner placing people he wants on the staff and making the HC deal with it.
Well, I might have made a slight error because I just read today that the TE coach from Tampa Bay is going to be on the staff so they must not have retained the prior TE coach. Also, I have to imagine that they are probably running these assistant coaches names, at least the Offensive ones Pat Shanahan or maybe not. All of the defensive coaches have come from Buffalo so I am sure that the HC is on board with all of those guys. The only guys that they retained from the Chud staff is the special teams coach. I will admit that they have hired a QB coach but again I think that they probably ran this past the guys that they were interviewing for the OC position and then again I might be totally wrong and you might be totally correct.

I have no issue w/Cousins, but, not as a replacement for Hoyer. Hoyer deserves a fair shot going into this season. I'm all for getting both Spartans on the roster, but I'd hate to see Hoyer moved. I believe we'll take a QB at #4, so, why put yourself in a position to coach 2 new QB's that both have to learn the roster at the same time. That #4 pick doesn't have to start day 1, the media gets too hung up on that. They need to start when they're ready. Anyways, my point is, give Hoyer a fair shot.

So Quinn now says he would have taken the Browns job...which could just be him posturing for a job next year, but...
he can go fuck himself… like taking a couple hours out of the week to interview would have really hurt…also I could probably coach that defense if I had the same players. Give the Browns the Seattle defensive players, especially their secondary, and I think we would have a winner.

On another note, I have read where Shanahan's offense uses the zone blocking scheme which calls for athletic guards which we do not have. Lauvao is a free agent so he is gone and Pinkston his probably history also. I do not know about Schwartz or Greco. Mack would fit into this new scheme but it is going to depend upon the dollars he wants.

I think there is no doubt this is the deal after the last two SBs have been won by teams with incredible defenses and mediocre QBs.

I guess that negates the need for a higher round RB in a Shanahan scheme. Although Hyde in that one cut stretch play would be devastating.

I think Hyde would be a perfect fit in Cleveland. I think his potential is a poor man's Marshawn Lynch. And that is a perfect personality and running style for what this Browns team should strive to be, which is a tough, hard nosed running football team, to hopefully compliment an improving defense.

Yeah, I liked those, didn't care for some of them. Thought the Steelers/Droidekas were stupid, same with the Chiefs/Ewoks. Integrating the Zabrak facial designs into the Bengals helmet was kind of cool though. I liked the Green Bay/Hutt one too.

I would've liked to see more angles of the Cinci one.
But I liked the Wookies & Donkies; Atlanta Interceptors was slick; and who can't get behind the Oakland Vaders?
