We still need a WR... and DBs... doubt LB is on our Rd 1 radar... doubt Anderson is an improvement over Colt.. at this juncture.. would not be a smart move to lose Dawson... was Watson that bad? and I totally concur Stoney would make a lot of sense for us.. altho Browns insist their TE block

Wouldn't mind OL backups in this draft either

Seattle is going for it all this year.. opened up the coffers.. drained their draft picks.. so looks like they're all in for 2013 run

Watson is just old. Don't really have a problem letting him walk. I don't see WR as a huge need although they need to add a body or two. They might look to run 2 TE's and put Cameron in the slot especially if they add another FA or someone like Stoney.

I would like Dawson back, but I'm not sure if he wants to be back. This really might not be a bad time to break in a new kicker. Dawson is great, but he probably only has a few years left in the tank. It would suck to be shooting for a SB run in a few years and have to break in a new kicker then. Better to do it now when the best we can hope for is making the playoffs. Hopefully we find the next Dawson that will be around for 10+ years.

I'd give up on FA QB's and go after the QB from Hot Chick Fredo. If Weeden doesn't turn the corner this year you might be able to get the QB of the future in a later round. I don't think Colt will be back, but they might see if they can get anything for him before the draft. This year any pick will probably do for Colt.

Still looking for a CB, OG, and FS before the draft. I would look for 2 of those positions being the 1st and 3rd round picks regardless of who they sign.

rumors swirling that the browns might be interested in signing Fred Davis.

it also seems like a foregone conclusion that the browns will probably land the elder schwartz to throw into the guard mix.

Good, then they can put Fred in the slot so he doesn't have to block since you know he wouldn't want to go someplace just to spend the whole game blocking.

I am extremely leery of anyone that has ever had a torn Achilles... not sure I know of anyone that only had this happen ONCE...

Kickers are one thing.. but being able to kick in Cleveland/Buffalo/Green Bay takes a special dude... Dawson could do this a number of years but if he doesn't think so.. he's going to go with someone close to the ring.. like 49ers

I would not be surprised to see Dawson sign with the 49ers since they released Akers. I thought the Browns might take a look at Brown who took over for Nugent last year but I see that he signed with another team yesterday. Forgot who:confused:

They better be watching John Hopkins Airport if they sign Fred Davis:wink: Nice Red Banner! Everyone should have one of those:)

In addition to his Achilles, I did not realize that he was coming with a little more baggage if he does come.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Browns and Redskins are serious about signing Washington tight end Fred Davis, 27, sources have told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Davis (6-4, 247) is widely regarded as the most talented tight end left on the free agent market, but he comes with some issues. If the Browns can get Davis at the right price, he might worth the risks.

For starters, Davis suffered a torn Achilles tendon in week seven last season and is still working his way back from the injury. An Achilles can take a year or more to fully recover from.

What's more, Davis was suspended for four games in 2011 for failing drug tests, and faces a year-long suspension if he violates the terms of the NFL's substance abuse policy again. He's also being sued by a woman who claims he threw juice on her at a bar in 2011.
