Cleveland Browns (2013 Season)

Cleveland Browns defense has been the biggest disappointment this season: Terry Pluto

Pluto nails it. So much money spent on the defense in the off-season and it is not that good.. $30 million guaranteed money on 2 guys. I think the Browns might have overpaid a little bit on Kruger and that is an understatement.

Also, what the hell was Cooper doing on the practice squad while Devon Bess was dropping passes. Bess will probably be around next year to drop passes because he has guaranteed $5 million + next year. The Browns let David Nelson go and he looked pretty good catching passes against that vaunted defense. Maybe they should have let Little go and kept Nelson.

When the game first began, I thought that the Jets were a very bad team and then the Browns lose to them. This will be a very interesting off-season. Banner and Lombardi have a lot of work to do and they better get it right or big Jim is going to see more empty seats but I guess the question is does he really give a damn.

The pass rush needs to improve, collectively. Bryant healthy will make a big difference. Hoping Mingo can take a step forward in year 2. Kruger's knock was being strong against the run, he's sacrificed his pass rush to stop the ball carrier. Sheard did ok adjusting to a new spot. We really need help at ILB and CB still. I'm hoping the pass rush improves given the personnel.

Hoyer back and healthy makes a world of difference. We certainly need a running game and another receiving threat outside side of Gordon. Being creative getting Cameron the ball more can't hurt.

I laughed at the Kruger signing when they made it. The guy was crap until Terrelle Suggs came back from injury, and I think he was one of the worst tacklers in the league statistically last year (missed tackles). Signing guys big contracts based off of a handful of good games is almost always a mistake and just a classic clowns move.

While Kruger has been basically average, this post is still fiction. When yo look at Kruger's stats last year, they are almost totally identical with and wwithout suggs in the lineup.
