Cleveland Browns (2012 season)

Oh, and for people who want to act optimistic, if Spiller doesn't get hurt, the Bills win by 50 today. They had no prayer of stopping Buffalo in the first 2 possessions when he played, and only were able to mount something of a defense after he went out.

I rarely comment on the Browns' thread because it generally makes me want to cut my wrists with rusty razor wire.

That being said, does anyone else besides me feel GENUINELY BAD for the players on this team? I'm sure a few are happy to just collect a paycheck, but if you're a competitor who's just sick of losing...man, it's gotta be rough to be on the Brownies.

At least the players get paid handsomely to be a part of this mess. I feel bad for the same folks I always feel bad for....us! The fans.

The people who PAY to see these clowns play. PAY to wear the jerseys and t shirts. I'm done. I used to look forward to going to the stadium and win or lose it was a fun time, but has anyone been there lately? It's like a bunch of guys milling around waiting to get their prostate examined. It's just not fun anymore. Hell, people barely care enough to boo these days. It's like, "Well, it's the Browns, they're supposed to get their asses kicked."

At least I can laugh at the Indians. This team is just...pathetic and sad. And when I looked at the schedule I originally said 4 wins including wins over Indy and Washington. No way this team wins 4. This is looking more and more like a 0 win football team.

It starts with stupid decisions by the owner. Holmgren clearly proved he was not a good executive with Seattle. They gave him several years also, and the results are what is happening now. The Shurmur hiring was just bizarre. The only major NFL job this fuckstick had was what, Offensive Coordinator at St. Louis? A really offensively bad Rams team?

Those are the decisions that cause years of losing. Head-scratching, stupid baseless decisions.

Anyway, I think that Mr. Hanslam (sp?) has already made up his mind. Why buy a team and keep the previous regime's garbage? 13-36 is their legacy with 13-39 staring them in the face.

13 and fucking 39. Unbelievable. And unacceptable.

Not sure whats going on with Joe Thomas lately. I heard
It might be his knee - but really?? He's been pretty average
This season.

Joe hasn't seemed his normal self this season. When it comes to legs it doesn't take much of an injury to turn a great OL into an average OL.

Oh, and by the way, fuck Greg Little. I want to support all of my team, but the last straw was when the fucker did the Usain Bolt arrow bullshit after a 2 YARD FUCKING COMPLETION. 2 GODDAMN YARDS. He is some horrible spawn of Braylon Edwards, Andre Rison, and Soljah Winslow, and on this team that is a 100% negative.

He celebrates every single time he actually does his job and makes a catch. Fucking ridiculous. I'm a lot more optimistic about the young guys on this team than damn near everyone on this board, but Little has reached my shit list with the speed of a cheetah.

Giant Eagle and PNC Bank on the scoreboard
Howard Hanna ads in the concourse
The Heinz Red Zone
and f'n Wiz Khalifa on the loudspeakers?

Can we just complete the job and get Bane to blow up CBS? Bonus points if the Steelers and Browns are swallowed up.

Best parts of the day:
-Clarence Scott's pimp cap
-Bernie Kosar playing the stereotypical Miami jew by wearing Walmart jeans, unbuttoned polo and a blazer during the Legends ceremony
-Getting the hell out

Why do you feel bad for the players? If the Browns didn't exist 95% of the team would be playing Arena Football. Those guys probably know they are playing to their potential but just don't have the talent for the NFL. If I was one of those players I would be happy just being able to wear a uniform, and get paid for another year. If they left the Browns no other team will want them. Do you think Colt McCoy could go to another team and start for them?

The Browns are just terrible at finding NFL talent, look at Brady Quinn who just got beat out by Ricky Stanzi for the 2nd string job in KC. He's now a 3rd string QB for another NFL team, but for the Browns he was a 1st Round pick...unbelievable

I know it's early in his career , but I'm really regretting the Josh Gordon pick. The way things are shaking out the Browns are going to be picking #1 overall. That top of the second round pick is going to look awfully good come April and this team has Josh Gordon to show for it.

I hate being a Browns fan.

Do you think they won't somehow blow their draft position? The Browns even suck at sucking.

The people who run the Browns are simple animals. Once the signals that they are in trouble finally reach their feeble brains, they will start to feel threatened and fight like hell for 3-4 weeks - long enough to win a few meaningless games - before they crap themselves and die.

Let's face it, the most interesting thing we have to look forward to in this year's draft is the return of King Rhabuf to extol the virtues of Dayne Crist as the #4 pick.

the real comparison will be what wr's will be on the board come the top of the 2nd which could be substituted for gordon. this year's wr crop is far from awe inspiring by a long stretch. you started to see some glimpses of what gordon can do yesterday. everyone knew he would be a project. but if he finishes the year with 50 catches or so, then it's not all bad.
