Cleveland Browns (2012 season)

If Floyd is still there at #22, I will be beyond shocked. The Browns getting Floyd at #22 would be the steal of the 1st round.

I agree, Floyd at 22 is a pipe dream...we can still get a good RT at 22 to go with TR or get a different WR or something.

Did you guys click on round 2?

If they burn a #2 on Weeden to push McCoy, it's the use of a pick where we could have gotten someone else that will actually play, but it still is infinitely better than blowing our top pick on The Stooge.

Looking at the guys after they have Weeden in round 2, if they go RB/WR with the first rounders I'd love to have a guy like Zeitler in Round 2. We need a solid guard right now with both sides highly questionable.

Trent Richardson, PLEASE. Bill Polian says other than Luck and Griffin, he is the ONLY other can't miss prospect on the board, and I agree. You can fill all your needs elsewhere. Hell, I would support a trade up from 22 to nab Michael Floyd. Richardson is a bonafide STUD at tailback, you have to draft him if he's there. Best available.

That's what I've been saying for months now. If Floyd drops below 10 I'd be calling everyone seeing what they want to trade down to 22.

Am I the only one that can't possibly fathom why Alshon Jeffery is not being considered 1st round material? I'd take him over Floyd in a heartbeat, keep him in shape and you have a guy with all the tools of an elite nfl receiver

Therein lies the problem. Do you really want to draft a guy in the first round that you stay up every night of the offseason just wondering what kind of shape your supposed #1 receiver will come in to camp? At least with other headache #1's like T.O. and Randy Moss you'd rest easy at night knowing they'd work their asses off in the training room and come in impeccable shape. Unmotivated football players don't usually make too much noise in the NFL.

Unfortunately... "keep him in shape" isnt a recipe for success... Not saying the alcohol isn't an issue but you already know he has worked to stay off the sauce. Alshon has the talent, but has shown during his job interviews not to have the drive to put his best foot forward.

He might make a pretty good RT one day.

Yeah the weight issue..get him off the campus diet, get him a chef, get him a personal trainer, guy will be fine (he trimmed the weight off for the combine, it's not like he can't stay fit). He's a young kid after all, the maturity might not be there quite yet but it's not like he was out committing armed robberies during his college days

I don't have a problem with it. If they think Richardson is special, you make the move. The drop off from him is significant at RB, and you're, in all likelihood, not gonna get impact players in rounds 4-6. I think Richardson can be a special Peterson or Tomlinson kind of back, so I like the aggressive move.
