Cleveland Browns (2012 season)

I keep hearing about this Biff Tannenhill character...what's he like? Are my Brownies going balls in?!?

On a serious note...I see Tampa trading with the Vikings to move up and take Richardson. Vikings still get their man at 5 in either Claymont Morris or Matt Khalid. Going to be a fun night!

I still am in disbelief that Ryan Tannehill is probably going to be a top ten pick. I guess I just don't see it. Another guy I hope the browns stay away from that I see mentioned here a lot is Doug Martin. I guess that's the answer if they pass on TR or someone trades up,but if someone seriously drafts a boise state running back in the first round....they get what they deserve.

If they draft any RB in the 1st round they should be shot. Plenty of options in Round 2/3. I would LOVE David Wilson from Va Tech, or worst case Isiah Peed later and I could live with Martin in the 2nd round (and they should draft another RB in the 6th/7th round for depth)

I have a thick rope and a well-tested ceiling fan prepared if we take Tannehill. My preference order is Mo Claiborne, T Rich and then Blackmon. Definitely want a skill player here. This team is desperate for wow-type players.

yes, why draft a potential all pro rb when you can get 2nd round gems like montario hardesty.

there's a reason those guys get picked so low.

It is a really bad year for rb's. If they miss on TR,then there's a good chance the backfield production isn't going to change at all in cleveland imo.

It's a lot different when you are drafting interchangeable rb's who really aren't asked to do much. Most of the times teams have success with guy's like that because they are good teams, and well coached. Cleveland is far from a good team, and they have very few weapons. A second rate back in this situation will be no more then another hardesty (injury or not it probably won't matter).

I'm not sold on drafting Trich so high, but the drop off in talent after him is massive. When you have a boise state player as the number 2 rb in the draft, that speaks for itself. Blackmon or Trich, please get someone who can score a damn touchdown.

This is why any kind of contemplation of Tannehill is pure madness. We have a chance to get one of the elite players in the draft, of which there are only 3 or 4 (not counting the top 2 picks), at a position of major need (RB, WR, CB). Why anyone would think about drafting a stooge that won't be ready to play for 3-4 years at best and thereby leaving said stooge devoid of offensive talent around him is beyond me.

Trent Richardson, PLEASE. Bill Polian says other than Luck and Griffin, he is the ONLY other can't miss prospect on the board, and I agree. You can fill all your needs elsewhere. Hell, I would support a trade up from 22 to nab Michael Floyd. Richardson is a bonafide STUD at tailback, you have to draft him if he's there. Best available.
