Heard an interview with an OurLads scouting expert yesterday and he predicts Tannehill to the Browns.......at 4!!!! I was impressed the radio guys did not start laughing, at least it didn't carry over the air.

the jets rumor was them trading up to #3 to get Richardson...they have contacted him:

http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/sto...-contact-trent-richardson-fueling-speculation

and another rumor was STL trading up with Minnesota to take Richardson with all their extra picks they have this year...now if this does indeed happen i would be dissapointed if we took anyone but Claibourne...on top of the fact i will be dissapointed if we do not get Richardson...i dont even think taking Richardson at #4 is the right move, but at this point i dont see anyone else in this draft that could help impact our offense right out of the gate other then him...so worse case scenario i dont see us leaving the #4 pick without claibourne...which is fine...another CB is a position of need for us....i just hope we will then shell out the money to keep both when that time comes, Haden obviously first...at #22 i think we then look at RB or WR

Personally I would love it if we could swindle the Rams 2 second rounders to drop from 4 to 6, presumably because they want Richardson...then we would have 1) Blackmon or Claiborne, whoever is left, + 2) another first round pick, plus 3) 3 of the first 6 picks in round 2. Given some of the guys we've gotten recently in those other spots (Taylor, Sheard, Little, Ward) if we could avoid the Hardesty curse, we should be able to get 5 starters from that haul, and still get one of the elite players at the top. It will never happen, but I can dream.

Holy Shit.

It's Claiborne or trading down.

They don't want Richardson.... and the funny thing is, if the Jets jump ahead of us, it works even better because the Bills will be on the phone in .0002 seconds looking to get Kalil.

Is #10 too high to take Floyd?

if phil savage was still making the draft picks, this argument might hold a little more water.

Hardesty says hi. Granted that's not a Veikune-type guaranteed flameout, but still...they traded up to get him knowing he had bad knees.

i thought savage was decent with selecting talent, just didn't really work well with romeo at finding guys to fit a system (of course the one time he went with system over talent they ended up with wimbley instead of ngata).

Wasn't really an argument - it was a remark on the idea of Getting an extra 1st rounder somehow making a selection like Tannehill a good idea.

The current regime has drafted pretty well in the first and second rounds.

there's no amount of 1st rounders that make taking tannehill in the 1st this year a good idea.

I have seen some mocks where the Bills take Floyd at #10. So is it too high? Maybe 10 is the earliest you would take him, but he won't make it to #22 for sure. But, if the Browns have Blackmon & Floyd rated about the same and Blackmon goes around #6/#7, I think taking Floyd is fine.

And a trade down to #10 is my wet dream for this draft. They should be able to take Floyd here, then at #22 the world is their oyster, they can pick ANYONE. You can take a RT there or double up at WR. #37 is where you can grab a good RB in either Martin/Wilson/Miller and with the other 2nd rounder we should get from the Bills they can pick defense. Of course I might actually prefer getting the Bills first rounder for next season (need that 2nd 1st rounder so if we need to trade up for the QB, we can have the ammo)
