Vague references are fun and much better for belly aching than the actual values:JCOSU86;2147596; said:Not sure what your point is. They gave up 3 picks to move up one spot.

They gained 400 pts in value and gave up less than 100 to do it. Yeah, they laughed all the way to the bank.
Whether they use it properly remains to be seen, but that was a great deal, especially given how badly Washington got fleeced for their trade.

That draft pick value chart has been blown all to hell with the rookie salary slotting.jwinslow;2147602; said:Vague references are fun and much better for belly aching than the actual values:

What if he becomes Ki-Jana Carter and Blackmon becomes great? Or Claiborne the next Deon Sanders?Jake;2147610; said:JHad they sat at #4, someone else grabbed Richardson and he turns into a stud RB people would be flipping out down the road about how stupid they were to not pay the small price to make sure they got him.
Then kindly grace us with what the value is instead.JCOSU86;2147611; said:That draft pick value chart has been blown all to hell with the rookie salary slotting.
So you love the trade if you trade a 3rd day pick for a 2nd day one, but not moving up for the most valuable players in the draft. Got it.The Browns have WAAAAY to many holes to fill to waste trading picks to move up one fucking spot. If they were going from 3rd round to 2nd, sure. But 1 spot?
