Cleveland Browns (2012 season)

Not sure what your point is. They gave up 3 picks to move up one spot.
Vague references are fun and much better for belly aching than the actual values:

http://www.draftcountdown.com/features/Value-Chart.php

03. 2200 pts

04. 1800 pts
118. 58 pts
139. 36 pts
211. < 2 pts

They gained 400 pts in value and gave up less than 100 to do it. Yeah, they laughed all the way to the bank.

Whether they use it properly remains to be seen, but that was a great deal, especially given how badly Washington got fleeced for their trade.

How many points is a win worth?

Is it really going to matter who they pick..or when they pick em?

Judging from some of the reactions to the move to get Richardson it seems some fans are so beaten down - understandably so - they only see how it could be the wrong move. Had they sat at #4, someone else grabbed Richardson and he turns into a stud RB people would be flipping out down the road about how stupid they were to not pay the small price to make sure they got him.

The guys Cleveland could've gotten with those late picks are highly unlikely to make any impact at all, assuming they could even make the team.

That draft pick value chart has been blown all to hell with the rookie salary slotting.

The Browns have WAAAAY to many holes to fill to waste trading picks to move up one fucking spot. If they were going from 3rd round to 2nd, sure. But 1 spot? So the Jets jump them to get Richardson. So fucking what, they take Claiborne or Blackmon or better yet sell Kalil for a shit load.

Makes no sense to me.

Edit to add: Not only that, but the Jets don't have the ammo to move up. And Tampa? Whatever, let them be the stupid panicky ones.

What if he becomes Ki-Jana Carter and Blackmon becomes great? Or Claiborne the next Deon Sanders?

Then kindly grace us with what the value is instead.

The amount you waste on rookies has changed.

The amount of talent left at pick 4 has not.

Which is why the Redskins got absolutely ransacked to move up like they did.

So you love the trade if you trade a 3rd day pick for a 2nd day one, but not moving up for the most valuable players in the draft. Got it.
