Cleveland Browns (2012 season)

question... If Cleveland doesnt come away with a receiver in the next 2 picks, would it be worth it if floyd starts to fall?

Just asking, i dont think running backs are that valuable anymore in the nfl, yes you need a serviceable one which we didnt have.

Some guy on ESPN said the Browns want a WR with their next pick, and they have "one guy" in mind (he said he was quoting the GM).

Don't be surprised if they trade up again, presumably for Floyd.

No. They didn't get "played". They either make the trade, or watch Tampa make it and lose out on the guy they wanted. Just because minny still gets their guy doesn't make it a bad deal. Why do people always think a trade has to have a "winner" and a "loser"?

Anyway, I'm happy they finally have a player worth building around. Now, cover him head to toe in bubblewrap.

Minn wanted Kalil. If they trade with TB, they risk missing out on Kalil. Minn convinced the Browns that they were willing trade with TB and risk missing out on Kalil.

Do you really think they wanted to risk missing on Kalil? I do not. That's why I say that they played the browns.

Do you honestly think the Browns or Tampa were going to draft Kalil?

It's a good trade. There's no loser in it.

Well, sure in the way that any team that trades up got "played" in that they were willing to give up more than anyone else to do it.

Would you feel better if I told you that Tampa had offered Minnesota their 4th, 6th, and 7th round picks, too?

What are they going to trade with... 22 and a 3rd? 22 and a 4th next year? Most of the late round picks are compensatory and can't be traded, unless im missing some more picks

I just think if the browns don't make the offer, Minn stays at 3 and draft Kalil. That's all. Again, not much was given up, so doesn't really matter. Just feel cle got played a bit

Good grief, stop flipping out like the Browns traded 3 future hall of famers to move up. They gave up low picks, and they had more low picks than could EVER make the team.

In other words, they gave up virtually nothing.

You're making my head hurt. If they make the trade with Tampa, they were still getting Kalil, because the clowns weren't spending the #4 pick on Kalil, and moving him to RT.
