Cleveland Browns (2012 season)

Richardson, Tannehill or trade down. i dont get the hate for Tannehill he has all the physical tools, people rip on him for throwing INTs or not winning alot of games but its not 1 on 22, his D sucked so he had to throw alot in college and teams knew that and sat back on it.
He's a project who has stared 18 college games...and looked awfully shaky at times. Teams like the clowns, with holes all over the roster, do not pick project qbs at #4...if they do, they're fucking retarded.

Established evidence, however, tends to show the Browns are fucking retarded.

Mock Draft 4.0: Floyd to Cincy

Friday, April 20, 2012

4. Cleveland Browns -- Alabama RB Trent Richardson
Browns GM Tom Heckert revealed in his pre-draft presser Thursday that Cleveland has already decided on the No. 4 pick. "Right now, we hope to stay there and take a good player," Heckert answered when asked whether he wants to trade down. "I know who that four is going to be if we stay there. We are all on the same page." The Browns do like Ryan Tannehill and may consider bundling the 22nd pick to move back up and land him. But they will take Trent Richardson at 4.
22. Cleveland Browns -- Baylor WR Kendall Wright
Pro Football Weekly's recent hatchet job on Wright notwithstanding, this is the receiver with the best tape in the draft. Despite reported 16-percent body fat, Wright routinely outran college secondaries as Robert Griffin III's go-to target. Just think how good he'll be when he's in shape.

If thats our draft in the first round i will be very happy

i won't. all the reports on kendall wright lately are terrible. he's free falling down draft boards. 16% body fat and only 4 bench reps at your pro day? no thanks. he'd be a glorified slot wr, which shouldn't even be in the discussion at #22.

I saw that coming.

But he is right...

You know I hate the Richardson pick and add that to Wright? My PERFECT draft is being able to trade down a few picks and still get Claiborne and then use those extra picks we get to trade up from #22 to grab Michael Floyd.

OR trade down too far but able to pick Michael Floyd with that pick. Then at #22 pick best RT then hopefully get David Wilson and another WR in the 2nd round (assuming a trade down gets us another 2nd rounder).

I guess the only problem I have with your second scenario is taking a RT at #22. I might take him with your second selection in round 2 but I think #22 is way too high to select a RT.

Have you given any thought about taking Brazil at #22:biggrin2:

No, he's right.

Having said that, I think we're gonna have to pick at #4 despite my long rant as to other "possibilites" earlier.

How about Posey at #22 then Brazil at #37 :pimp: (Brazil is going to be good in the league... a great value pick in the mid rounds)

because this tackle class sucks, and after a certain point, the talent falls off the cliff. that certain point could well exist between picks 22 and 37.

Yeah, I think it's at 22 or not at all... (well, projects very late aside). And then you look to the next round of guys who have been released. Not the best scenario, but, we need BPA's.

why are a lot of people hell bent on getting a RT in the first round....

Not really hell bent, but it makes sense with the value at #22. If you pick Richardson you better make sure you can use that cadilac by getting him some blockers. But on the flip side... who will be available at #22?

Ya want Kendall Wright or Stephen Hill at WR? They both seem like reaches to me.

RB... oh wait, they used #4 on one :smash:

CB? Maybe Gilmore or Kirkpatrick?

LB? Don't see many OLB in this draft going in the 1st round

DE? Mercilus?

No one really blows my doors off. But in that 17-25 range is perfect for alot of the offensive lineman that are said to be going.

So really it comes down to what is available. Maybe someone that is slated for the 8-16 area falls to 22, but really 22 is no mans land with the only people in that area are the O-Linemen...
