Cleveland Browns (2012 season)

One league source tells Clark Judge of CBS Sports that new Browns owner Jimmy Haslam plans to "blow the whole place up," likely ousting team president Mike Holmgren and GM Tom Heckert.

Multiple outlets are reporting that former Eagles president Joe Banner will run football operations for Haslam. Although Holmgren has carried over the questionable personnel decisions from his GM tenure in Seattle, it was thought that Heckert might be safe due to his close relationship with Banner in Philadelphia. It can certainly be argued that Heckert deserves a chance to see the draft classes of the past two years develop. Holmgren is in the third year of a five-year deal that pays him $8 million annually.

getting rid of holmgren is fine...whatever...but dont fucking get rid of the GM after 2 years...or wait....nevermind its part of the norm here...carry on

Great, so these guys get [Mark May]canned leaving us with their 29 year old rookie qb...

But but Hollinger had him rated a 14 which means he'll be a future hall of famer.... sorry wrong sport... [censored] Homeboy leave Heckert alone... [Mark May] [Mark May] [Mark May] its looking like trading up to get Trich will have been a waste... play this year under Shurmer/Childress, they get canned (year 1 down) then someone new in 2013 (year 2 down) behind a shitty line...

the future's bright.

Pretty high praise coming from Haden about Weeden...
Not sure about posting the Twitter, but that does excite me. This is Joe's Pro-Bowl year. If TJ can take that next step forward to becoming a better overall Safety then we have a very talented, young secondary - that can only get better. Curious to see how Hagg looks as well. If he's even remotely better then what we've fielding the last 5 seasons then its a steal.

Dline health scares me. If we can get the bigs up to 100%. The only real knock on the defense would be OLB & 2nd CB.

As pros, their tweets are fair game. It's college and HS players that are off limits here.

That would have been my plan all along - instead of getting a 29 year old rookie QB, strengthen the right side of the OL with that pick and then get this guy next draft.

Unfortunately, they will probably go 1-15 this year and end up drafting whoever the SEC d-lineman flavor of the year is in 2013...

Browns and Gogong 'not sure' about Achilles rupture ?!?!?

From friends that had it.. YOU KNOW.. when you ruptured an Achilles
Feels like someone took a machete to your leg

Gogong knows it tore.. and he's done for the year

Was just about to post this.

Sucks. Gocong is solid. Our LB play is going to be a nightmare this year.
Actually our entire front 7 scares me now.

Since this is the Browns, lets talk defensive draft :tongue2:

gocong was going to be in a dog fight to keep his starting spot as it was. gocong was solid for a handful of short yardage and goalline possessions this year. otherwise, he was just a guy. they will likely pick up someone from the scrap heap to have another body.

If one guy getting hurt has you worried about the front seven, then you weren't worried enough to begin with.

For my part I was already resigned to the fact that the were going to suck as usual.

That one guy was Phil Taylor for me. I've already been worried. This just magnifies that concern.

Outside of Jackson - our entire LB corps needs a going over.
