Yes, yes, I know all about drinking the Kool-Aid. I also know on paper, the Browns should not win a game next year. The Browns sucked last year and still won 5 games, and lost 8 more by 10 points or less. Even if you hated the draft, the Browns will be a vastly improved team by the end of next year.

Or they will have quit on their coach, they will have found out their QB is actually a 36 year old Dominican named Humberto Rodriguez and Trent Richardson will hold out until week 10....

They also started 0-10 not that long ago. Teams don't get blown out as much anymore, but that still doesn't change the W-L record at the end of the year. I think they will be better, but does that translate into being competitive? Big difference there...time will tell.

I'm not going to go back through the thread, but it has been previously assumed (by some posters) that Holmgren would bolt if, in fact, Lerner had made the call on Brandon Weeden. So I wouldn't be suprised.
