I believe they have two in the third, two in the fifth, and two in the seventh so that's not that bad but I think you are correct you don't find many nuggets after the fifth round. At least the Browns haven't in past years. Hopefully, this will change under Holmgren.

round 1: 1
round 2: 1
round 3: 2
round 4: 1
round 5: 3
round 6: 2
round 7: 1

as I've said before, it wouldn't surprise me to see cleveland either package some picks to move up, or outright trade a 5th for a future 4th.

I don't know the value points for each pick but depending upon who still might be there I would give up one of our fifth-round choices and our fourth-round choice to slide up into the second round. I guess I would only be feasible if the value points equal out. One of our fifth-round choices is from Tampa Bay so that's almost like getting a late round fourth-round choice:)

On another note, I am sure that you're aware that the Browns dismantled their Pro Personnel Department so I plus Lewis still think Lewis will be coming from Seattle. Petey will want to much control plus Lewis fits right in with Heckert and Holmgren.

Noted it came from Mort on ESPN, but if the Cardinals are willing to trade Boldin for a 3rd and a 5th I would be all over it if I was the Browns. I'd give up at least those 2 picks and one of the WR's other than MM for Boldin.

I would be very surprised (and ecstatic) if the Cardinals were willing to make that trade.

I woke up a ton early, but where does everybody think Myron Rolle will fall? He was a very instinctive Safety with the ability to deliver a bit hit and disciplined in coverage. Given his time off from the game, is he a likely 2nd to 3rd round projection?

If so, I'd really like to see the Browns have a long insight into his game.

Heeeere we go. From ESPN's rumor mill. One about everyone's favorite backup QB (:p) and the other is about a star WR..

While the Buffalo Bills remain in the mix for Michael Vick -- the team's been called a "dark horse" candidate as far back as the middle of the regular season -- perhaps they're barking up the wrong tree. Another option, less accomplished in the NFL but much less controversial, may be a better match.

Via Twitter on Tuesday morning, Bills safety Donte Whitner made his suggestion: "I think we should get Troy Smith to be our Qb, please!" There might be a reason why Whitner is so pro-Troy: he was teammates with Smith both at Glenville High School and the Ohio State University. Even so, maybe the Bills should take a look, Smith is best at throwing out of a moving pocket and also has wheels, both of which are good attributes in the spread offense that Chan Gailey will likely run in 2010.

But what about the Browns? They might be in the market for a new QB -- with Mike Holmgren not completely sold on Brady Quinn yet -- and Smith appeared on the ESPN Radio affiliate in Cleveland recently, indicating that playing for the Browns "has always been a childhood dream of mine."

Adding Smith and Brandon Marshall would be a huge upgrade for the offense.

Myron struggled in coverage and many FSU fans thought he should have been moved to OLB. I'm still not sold on his ability to be a safety in the NFL. Myron is a great kid, but his exploits off the field, really raised everyone's opinion of him on the field.

Cool, what I saw of him was very limited. Although it was decent hence my thoughts.

Another question. Since I personally dont think Taylor Mays has the self discpline or instincts to play safety, how would some of you feel grabbing him in a midround (2nd or 3rd if possible) and trying him out at LB?

I realize that's an awfully high pick for a project, however I will yield he is a very fine athlete and has rare physical gifts for a man of his size.

I think you have to try him at safety. But I thought about that too. He should be pretty excellent against the run. Maybe the next Roy Williams. Hopefully not that bad in coverage though.

I think Tebow is worth a 4-7 round pick. He can play wildcat, HB, RB, QB. He has alot of talent. Is he a franchise QB? Probably not. Is he an NFL player? Yes.

He'll be gone before that...the Jaguars want him to put butts in seats if nothing else. No way is he worth a first day pick by the Browns, given their situation.
