He'll be gone before that...the Jaguars want him to put butts in seats if nothing else. No way is he worth a first day pick by the Browns, given their situation.

Especially since the first day is just round one this year. No way is Tebow worth a first two days pick either.

He can play wildcat, HB, RB, QB.

What makes you think he can do ANY of those based on what you've seen lately?

He might be able to take a couple direct snaps in short (very short) yardage situations. However if your talking the ronnie brown type Wildcat QB, then no. He doesn't have the sideline to sideline speed, shifty moves or elusiveness that makes the position go. He can run straight forward for the most part. Its the NFL, he's not going to bull rush through ANY defender - hell, he had a tough enough time with that in Mobile it seemed.

His passing is, highly suspect, and that's being extremely nice. His wind up and delivery are nothing short of pathetic which means teams will respect passing out of the wildcat even far worse than they do now.

Tebow WILL NOT, be an NFL QB. He WILL NOT be a great wildcat QB and he might make a somewhat suitable FB, TE or Hback. That's it... and come to think of it, all of those positions are called on in the recieving game from time to time, who knows if the guy can even catch a ball or run a route.

He's a great kid, no doubt. He has physical talent, again, no doubt. But his skills don't translate to any definite position in the NFL unless he has the natural ability to catch a pass.

Edit: Just to be clear, with the needs this team has at almost every position - if Heckert even makes a push to draft Tebow at all, as in, any round. He needs to be fired on spot. That simple.

Look at Michael Robinson's best year as a RB/H-Back in SF. That's probably what you're going to get from Timmy. Those designed runs that he was so good at in college will get eaten up in the NFL. His mechanics are a mess, so you're looking at a ground up rebuild if he wants to be a QB. The "all he's done is win everywhere he's been" argument is bunk. So did Ken Dorsey. So did a huge number of QBs from premier programs who never made it in the NFL.

I think Tebow is Michael Robinson AT BEST. He is in no way worthy of a draft pick as a QB, period. As some kind of hybrid TE/FB/LB/etc. that everyone thinks he could just pick up and master, I guess you could justify a flier on him with a 7th round pick. Even still, he has done nothing to show that he could be a hybrid guy besides running over a few college defenders.

Basically I am reiterating what Buckeneye said.

A random thought about Tebow. If he's drafted as a "QB"...could he be the first one to ever see the field on special teams? (outside of the kicking game)

I honestly can't think of one man drafted with the QB label on returns or kickoff. - I dont think Pat White has. Anyone care to help?

Btw, my final thought about this. Tebow (depending on where/who) drafts him will try to mold him into a QB. If its Jacksonville, I guaranfuckingtee it. There so desparate to sell tickets; they'll pick up Timmy, give him some light work. But throughout the season try to tear him down and build him up as a QB.

- Then they'll realize their plan has failed while the rest of the NFL has a collective laugh at them.

Brad Smith has played on special teams, though he's a WR with QB abilities.

Randle El comes to mind, though he really wasn't drafted to be an NFL QB I don't think. Cribbs was a college QB too, remember. But no, I'm guessing Kelly Stouffer and Dan McGwire didn't cover punts, though maybe they should have

Report: QB Derek Anderson's bonus is due on March 19 By Starting Blocks
February 09, 2010, 8:56AM

Cleveland Browns quarterback Derek Anderson could get released before March 19, that's the date when his $2 million roster bonus is due, according to Scout.com's Adam Caplan. On Profootballtalk.com: Since Anderson's fluky 2007 Pro Bowl campaign, he has completed a pathetic 47.96 percent of his pass attempts with 12 touchdowns and 18 interceptions. Some team will take... I wonder if our offensive coordinator should be a little concerned:)
