So it sounds like he wants to coach but he...I don't know...promised himself he wouldn't so he's going to look for someone else? WTF? If I'm a big-time guy and I have my choice, I'm not going to a place where the President is waiting to replace me with himself...

He should hire Brett Favre as coach. He'll go back and forth on whether he wants to activate himself to play QB, and when he does Holmgren can move in as coach.

I hope that is one promise he keeps. Look, Holmgren was a good coach. But it has been what....16 or 17 years since he won a Super Bowl? Maybe he made that promise to himself knowing that he is past his coaching prime to win it all. It is very hard to keep that promise to yourself, especially when one is a true competitor.

I agree...plus I think they said last night he would be like the 2nd oldest coach in the NFL if he came back...the future is in guys like Raheem Morris and Mike Tomlin and Leslie Frazier...I don't want an old President trying to be a coach.

I know some people don't like John Fox and I am not saying that he would be my number one choice but I believe the pictured guy has been fired a couple times from HC positions. Plus, I would rather the Browns go to a 4-3 and some guys that are supposedly being considered preferred the 4-3. I would also prefer getting an offensive guy to be our next HC.

Are you insinuating that Rob Ryan ate Eric Mangini?

AJC reports the Browns will interview Falcons OC Mike Mularkey
and Perry Fewell (Giants DC) and Pat Schurmer (Rams OC) and those are the only ones scheduled so far. Mularkey has worked for a couple of the guys that are currently working for the Browns in management under Holmgren. He could be one to watch.
