Cleveland Browns (2010 season)

I posted this a little while ago but I really don't think that the Browns should take a stretch WR in a first-round of the draft (if there is one). Look at the Patriots. They really don't have a stretch WR but they have guys who can find holes in the defensive backfield and catch the ball when it is thrown to them. I think if you give the Browns WRs another season or two they will be the same way.

I think our needs are on defense and the OL . I think the latter is starting to get too old in the teeth especially on the right side. Luavo as not really panned out like a Browns not he was going to. Maybe it's because of injuries but he has not shown up all season.

Our defense is getting old and we are extremely thin at DB. Wright is a free agent and I doubt if he is going to stay in Cleveland next season. Both our DL and LBs positions are starting to get old and we really don't have a dominant player in our front seven. I think that is where we need the most help. I don't know if Ryan will be around next season with all of the openings so that might dictate how we draft. Maybe the new coordinator will be a 4-3 guy and our roster is not built for that. I don't know maybe all hell will break loose and with no CBA players will be moving from one scene to the next and the Browns will be going to the Super Bowl next year.

I like Colt, but he isn't Brady or Manning. For him to be successful the Browns are going to need a stud WR to pull coverage away from the other WR's and TE's. I'd take Green or Jones if they are on the board when the Browns pick, but the more games the Browns win the less likely that is. Unless there is a stud at WR when the Browns pick I'd be fine with them going defense in the first round. WR is going to be deep enough in this draft that they might be able to get someone better than what they have in the 2nd.

The Bills have taken the Steelers, Chiefs and Ravens to overtime this season.

The Browns are playing with a garbage QB in Delhomme - McCoy was in there when they beat the Patriots. I don't know why Browns fans were assuming they were going to waltz into Buffalo and win today. It's a miracle they won two games with Delhomme at QB.

Thank God McCoy is back. This team is at least twice as good with him playing in place of Delhomme
With Coye Francis being picked up along with Colt being named a starter for the rest of the season, we are well on our way to the Super Bowl next year:)

Okay, with the addition of this old name, our offensive line should be set for the run next season.
The Browns signed offensive lineman Branndon Braxton to the practice squad. Originally signed by the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma in 2009, he's spent the past two seasons with Las Vegas of the UFL.
