Cleveland Browns (2009 Season)

I actually think that the defense has been pretty respectable. Not good or great, but respectable.

The defense would be a lot better if they didn't have to go back on the field every three plays (or less). It looks to me like they've been able to hang in there during the first half, only to get pounded in the second half when they're worn out.

I'd also like to add that if the UFL had any balls they'd put franchises in CLE, CIN, DET, STL, KC, OAK. These places are starving for some real fucking football more than LA and Vegas. They could pack the house in these cities with decent beer & ticket prices and the promise of a TD every couple weeks.

I think if you gave this team the Saints offense the defense would look better. When the offense goes 3 and out most of the time it puts a lot of preasure on the D. I believe this is the same problem that OSU faces in big games when the offense doesn't put points on the board. If the defense is in the game for too long at any level they get worn down. If the Browns offense starts to win the time of possession and they are still getting destroyed I'll blame the defense.
I am glad the Browns will be getting the first or second pick in the draft this year so that they can trade down a couple more times before they get into the 20's. Can I get some odds on Quinn getting booed the next time he throws an incomplete pass in Cleveland? The honeymoon has to be over for him. Only another month or so till Cavs season.

I don't know about CLE and CIN. We already have OSU and that's all we really need. I wouldn't be shocked to see top tier NCAA teams beat UFL teams.

Different thread maybe, but I'd be surprised if that happened. The UFL only has 4 teams, and they're not competing for next level talent with the AFL. I think that the initial UFL product will be a really good one.

Depends on whether the ball was close to the receiver, but given the history of Cleveland fans, I'd put the odds at a solid 5/3.

I'd love to see Brady start throwing the ball deep. If you have one-on-one coverage with Braylon, just throw it up there. I'm not convinced that he can't do it. I'm still willing to give him time. But if the offense looks this bad and we're 0-8, it'll be time to go back to Anderson.

It means it's time to find a QB.
*cough* *cough* Troy Smith *cough*

Exactly what i felt when the Browns had a golden opportunity to draft him and they did not take the chance. I was so pissed and the reason if felt that way then was because he was a local from Cleveland Ohio and was the Heisman Trophy winner. What more could you ask for. He was a pure natural ball player here. Remember when the Steelers drafted Antwone Randall el out of Indiana and they used him in 3 different positions in his time there. He returned punts - played wide receiver and even was used as a QB.
Thats called being a "Utility ball Player". Even though he is no longer with the Steelers, someone then knew that he was a good one. Why in the hell could the Browns upper staff not see that then. Shame on them. Shame on them.

I understand that most people don't realize when they're in a co-dependent relationship. However, when this reality becomes known, there IS the option to make a change. I'm here to tell you Browns fans that it's okay to...

just...
walk...
away.

You've given your heart to another that will just continue to trample you. Your identity has become that you feel attached to the heartbreak and pain. But I'm here to tell you that you CAN break the chains of bondage and walk away.

After having been a Cleveland Browns fan from 1979-2008, I decided to walk away this past fall. Sundays have been brighter and more enjoyable.

Just walk away.
