Cleveland Browns (2009 Season)

Well, this will be my last post on the subject because, clearly, it's going nowhere. I think you have a lot of good things to add and say. You're very knowledgeable and have solid opinions (I rarely, if ever disagree with you), the problem is you have to get little digs in and talk down to other posters in the process instead of simply making a point. That's all. From the reps of gotten, I'm obviously not the only one who feels this way. If you want to continue to bicker about it, send me a pm, or have the last word here...whatever.
I will add my 2 cents to what you have just said because it has been needed to be said quite a while ago IMO tsteele makes excellent points and is very knowledgeable but tends to put people down when making his points. Enough said.

i fail to see how saying that cribbs' asking for a new contract is dumb and the idea of paying him is just as stupid is a direct reflection of anyone here. but, if it offended anyone's delicate sensativities, I apologize.
You are a real ass after that post.

if saying that cleveland would be stupid to pay josh cribbs on a message board is offensive to you because you want to pay him then you need to grow some thicker skin.

i thought drafting brady quinn was a dumb idea. he's going to start this year. if he plays well, you can call me a dumbass and it won't bother me one bit. i thought savage was a good choice for GM and even like the travis wilson draft pick at the time. call me a jackass.

if i have to sugar coat my opinion on something to avoid ruffling you guy's feathers fine.

It has nothing to do about Browns players or Indians players, management, or whenever. It is just your tone of "I know everything" and you guys don't know squat. It's not about "sugarcoating". It's being respectful. I don't think you would be missed if you left this site because you certainly have not contributed much to it except to annoy some people. That's all from me but when there are a number of people who think the same thing about one person then that says something about that one person or maybe you don't understand that:(

again, if you are trying to infer "tone" from a message board, then you need to get thicker skin. it's a goddamn message board. everything said here is simply someone's opinion.

and, once again, how is saying that it would be stupid to pay josh cribbs a direct reflection on anyone? if you think he should get paid, and are offended that someone says paying him is stupid, then i don't know what to tell you.

at this point, this section of the thread should probably be split, or sent to the mythical land where lost socks go. of course, that is just my OPINION, so hopefully the tone doesn't get contorted into an insult.

It isn't Cribbs fault his capabilities haven't been utilized to full capacity. Leon Washington is about to bank big money, being a 3rd down back based on his explosiveness.

Why Josh wasn't used in more creative ways, is unknown. What is known, is he has a boatload of potential, and is being underpaid. There is no way he should play for what he is currently being paid.....especially when you factor in Lerner's agreemenet to address his contract in the off-season. Does anyone really feel Josh made that up?

I don't think he should get Devin Hester money, but if the Browns part ways with him due to a contract dispute, he's the type of guy we'll be scratching our heads about for a long time, IMO.
