Clarett spilling the beans

ESPN's Inside Source?

Been some discussion about ESPN having an inside source who has been dishing dirt. So --

One other thing from yesterday's half-time show (during NIU / Toledo) --

Mark May (that irrascible used car salesman and Pitt AD wannabe) stated that he had info from "a source very close to the tOSU program."

Interesting, no? Speculative minds might wonder who that is. Conley? A coach on the skids in the program? Or is it just another Mr. Such & Such?

Its great seeing some more former buckeyes coming out to lend their support. These allegations will affect everyone who ever stepped foot in that university. This is a time that all buckeyes and former coaches should be lending their support.

My Take

I say this with all sincerity to ESPN, The New York Times, Sam Maldanado, Marco Cooper, Curtis Crosby, and especially Clarett:

SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GO AWAY!

First off, that article is pure and complete garbage: it portrays Clarett as a victim. A VICTIM?? He claims he had everything, and now nothing. Well gee, who's fault is that??

The bottom line is this: he had everything in the world ahead of him: a strong possibility of two Heismans, a shot at a two National Titles, College Football immortality, any girl that he wanted, millions of dollars, a promising NFL career, huge celebrity, and a life (a la Archie Griffin) after football where he could make more money just being who he is.

He pissed it all away because none of that was enough and he didn't want to put any work into achieving that. He's Maurice Clarett, and no one else is. That should be enough to entitle him to everything he was destined for.

All the signs were on the wall: he was in the middle of a great freshman season, a National Title season, and THAT wasn't good enough. He needed to spew to ESPN the magazine that he wanted to go Pro, immediately.

He was in Tempe a week before the Fiesta Bowl, in the middle of the biggest thing for the state of Ohio in many, many years (with him as the focal point), and THAT wasn't good enough: the University screwed him and lied to him because he never filled out his FAFSA forms.

He was in Tempe right after the biggest win in school history with a puss and a scowl on his face, because THAT, like the previous two, wasn't good enough.

Well, he screwed himself because all of these accolades, chicks, and prestige WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH for Maurice. Well Maurice, now you have nothing to fall back on. That little city in the middle of Ohio that was going to give you money hand over fist when your career is over doesn't want you anymore. You prostituted your own legacy because THAT NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE THE BIGGEST (AND MAYBE SOLE) HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR CAREER.

You will do nothing else: you can take your work ethic (or lack thereof), your fat 280 pound body, your (at best) 4.65 speed, your bad attitude, immaturity, and stupidity, and keep smearing the shining point of your life.

Someday, when you're mopping up the jizz off the floor of a local strip club with no NFL career, no money, and no college education, you'll look back at 2002 as the best year of your life. So continue to smear it as much as you like.

Jim Tressel and the Ohio State University will win another Title and get the glory again. You, my sorry friend, will NEVER, not in the NFL, and certainly not in college, ever get that thrill again. I hope you realize that as an underpaid jizz mopper someday.

when you get hired for a job, you can make a number of decisions.. you can decide to do an adequate job... you can try to do the least possible that you think you can get away with.. or you can decide to bust your ass and give it your all...

it shows two traits about yourself... your integrity level... and your personal drive... we obviously see what MoC chose... and what it says about him...

First off. Fucking bravo. Best rant I've seen yet. If I could make it my sig I would.

But one comment.

Someday, when you're mopping up the jizz off the floor of a local strip club with no NFL career, no money, and no college education, you'll look back....

Or he might look back and say "Lydell, if you do that again, I'm going to have the bouncer throw you out"

That CFN article is what you call real journalism. ESPN needs to take some lessons on how you evaluate a potential witness and analyze both sides objectively. Fucking Marco Druglord Cooper? Sammy The Bench Maldonado? That is the lowest of the low.

I was going to give my stepfather a subscription to ESPN The Rag for Xmas, but not now. Fuckers.

Clarett now appears scared in a big way now seeing what all the NFL scouts see: he's not that fast, he couldn't stay healthy during his one freshman season, he's a head case, and he's a major league pain in the butt burning his bridges at Ohio State with all of his problems. Everyone saw that but Clarett and now he blames Tressel when he should be blaming the people advising him. Clarett's claim from ESPN's article that Tressel "wound up selling (Clarett) out" simply isn't true. There was nothing to sell out.

It seems that a lot of the media outside ESPN gets what this clown is up to... what a suprise.

I will ask this. If someone kept calling your mom a whore would you have them over to your house for dinner? Would you be all happy when they showed up with their friends and started to have a party in your front yard?

If it was me I would do everything in my power to tear their throat out and shit down their neck.

So...why should we sit by and play nice when Game Day comes to town? Why shouldn't we drench them with beer? WHy souldn't is be an hour of fuck you and boos? Why sould we not have Lee douche bag woory about his saftey?

I am not saying that anyone should get hurt. But why should we just sit back and take it? A point can be made and IMHO should.

Of course it should, by saying they can't be on University property. They should have to deal with the city to do their thing. But we can't act like Wisconsin fans. We do have more class than that, even if ESPN doesn't.
