Cincinnati Bengals (Same Ole Bengals)

We lost this game directly because of Zac's horrible play calling at the goal line and eschewing the easy FG on 4th and goal.

Period!

I said fire whoever is calling our plays this year, because tonight may seem to stick out but they've been dreadful all year. I mean legitimately awful like 80% of the time, I have no idea what we're even trying to do on offense. Neither do our players. Defense did their job, but our offensive play callers are boning us straight up the ass every fucking game. That's the nicest way I can put it.

On the last possession on offense, I said to everyone at my house watching the game "We'll score and take a 1 point lead, but take too long so Baltimore can get the ball with 2 minutes left and hit an easy FG to win the game." People were telling me not to be so pessimistic but I'm just like, I'm a Bengals fan, that's the exact script. They couldn't believe the remarkable accuracy of that prediction.

We're 2-3 and 0-2 in the division. Maybe all the people saying we wouldn't make the playoffs are right, because the odds right now are very bad.

I think our Bengals are still very much in playoff contention. Eight of our next 10 games are very winnable, plus a chance in Cincy to split the season series against these Ravens on Jan. 8. Thank goodness the Eagles and Giants aren't on the schedule. 10-7 or 11-6 still within reach.

Maybe. I want to believe that. But we're not going to have a winning record if we keep doing what we're doing. Some fundamental changes need to come on the offensive side of the ball and the overall attitude for the offense. If we don't see that, it doesn't matter who is on the schedule.
