Cincinnati Bengals (2011 Season)

so...by some magic, Bengals are right back in the playoff race..

with Titans losing, Jets losing..the Bengals are currently tied for the wild card...but need the Jets to lose to the Giants or Dolphins...assuming Bengals don't shit against the Cards and can possibly beat the a backup Ravens team

Unless the Ravens lose to the Browns they will have something to play for the last weekend, and that is assuming the Steelers don't lose tonight or next week. They hold the tie breaker over the Steelers, so the only way the Ravens sit anyone is if they are 2 games back with the wild card locked up or are up a game in the division (which means the Steelers need to lose this week and next vs. St. Louis). The Ravens loss to the Chargers pretty much killed any chance the Bengals will be playing the Ravens scrubs.

game is declared a sellout

 Now Mike Brown's going to think he's a genius with his "buy one get one" deal for season ticket holders only. I mean, yeah those season ticket holders can get tickets for other people, but I find it kind of lame that he only wants to thank the loyal fans rather than trying to regain the respect of the rest of the fanbase.

I actually think it was a good idea, it didn't give those ratbird fans a chance to buy them

I guess that's a good way to look at it. I guess Brown is trying to improve his image by improving his on the field product. Which isn't a bad move by any means.

plus it rewards loyal season ticket holders such as myself. Obviously the general public didn't support the team this year with such low walk up traffic....so why reward them with a 2 for 1?

I see what you mean. But wouldn't you think he would WANT to promote something for the other fans who have lost respect for the organization? I, personally, have only been to one game my entire life. It was cool, but I just don't see the fascination with it. I'd rather sit at home, watching in HD than sitting in the nose bleeds for 70 bucks.

Bengals announce sellout for finale

The Cincinnati Bengals announced they have sold out Sunday's regular-season finale against the Baltimore Ravens, a day before the NFL's blackout deadline. The odds of filling up Paul Brown Stadium seemed extremely slim before the team used some creativity.
Cincinnati used a special promotion for season-ticket holders -- "buy one, get one free" -- to record its second sellout of the season. The Bengals can clinch their third postseason berth in two decades with a win over the Ravens.

The Bengals said some club seats and single seats were still available, but enough tickets have been sold to meet NFL requirements for lifting the local television blackout.

"loyal"? I would say not living in Hamilton county. Fuck Mike Brown. I refuse to give him anymore of my money. His crooked ass stadium deal fucked the fans he should be trying to keep. It is entertainment and since it is rarely entertaining a lot have given up.

I agree, I am not a Mike Brown fan. I can't turn my back on my team though.

The City and the voters agreed to the deal so you can't really blame Brown. He came up with an idea to save money and some dumbasses went for it.
